Friday Vibes @ Beach Bar Villa Loca -  House Latin Afro set

Inspired by family holidays in North Devon, overlooking miles of sand and surf, this deep melodic house track blends uplifting and emotional moments with atmospheric guitars from Rob Cole and heartfelt vocals from Phoebe Carter. Influenced by artists like Daughter and London Grammar, it’s a cinematic journey with pure summer love vibes.d into my productions. I asked a local guitarist 'Rob Cole' to play these parts. I managed to locate a singer 'Phoebe Carter' who I thought would fit the song, sent the lyrics and she did an lovely job on bringing the song to life.

I've gotten so many requests to put a mix out under my Afro House alias ‘Rhodes’ so here ya go. On Sunday I got to @discover.lala and just hit record and started playing. Zero planning, zero editing, one take. Every time I’m playing music live I try to make sure it sounds like a studio quality mix. I think you’ll definitely hear the attention to detail in this one. Evan Rhodes is on fire! This is has been the consensus of practically everyone who's heard his recent releases or caught one of his DJ sets and there's no slowing down in sight for this ultra-talented DJ/Producer.

Hailing from a family of musicians in the northern suburbs of Detroit, Evan Rhodes embarked on his musical journey at the age of 11 when he first picked up a guitar. As he immersed himself in the world of music, he added the keys to his repertoire and soon found his true calling in the art of DJing. At the age of 16, Evan delved into the realm of electronic music, captivated by the pulsating beats of underground warehouse parties in Detroit. These immersive experiences ignited a profound passion for house music and a genuine affinity for the underground scene.

In 1998, Evan secured his first residency at the infamous Velvet Lounge, sharing the stage with world-renowned greats such as Terrance Parker and DJ Godfather.
