My friends Paskal & Urban Absolutes played a top live gig afterwards while the night has been completed by Leipzigs own Sevensol & Bender of Kann Recs fame. Distillery still rules!

The latest addition to the Anjunadeep ranks are up and coming UK house act Journeyman, who join the Lane 8, Dusky and Lancelot in the ever expanding label family. 

Having first caught the A&R attention at AnjunaHQ with their remix of Brookes Brothers last summer, Journeyman then truly marked their arrival on the scene with "Get Closer" / "Sideways" on New State Music.

The "Spend It All EP" further develops and showcases Journeyman's exciting approach to melodic club music. Already supported by the likes of The Magician, Jody Wisternoff and Shir Khan, lead track "Spend It All" is a rolling weapon, fuelled by surging low-end, infectious vocal and rattling percussion.

The atmospheric "Constellation" ventures into spacier territory, blending harmonically chopped and distorted vocals with another deep, driving bassline keeping this one firmly rooted to the dance floor. 

Featuring the soulful vocals of Vikter Duplaix, "In The Dark" is a low-slung jam, built around a throbbing bassline and bouncy percussion, which rounds off Journeyman's debut Anjunadeep EP in fine style.

Journeyman - Constellation

The mastermind behind heavyweight Anjunabombs such as ‘Doormatica’, ‘Paper Jet’ and ‘Disco Belle’, Paul Keeley is rightly regarded as one of the label’s big hitters. Which is why, after what has been something of an extended hiatus, we’re glad to see him back and hitting the ground running in 2011 with the storming ‘Relic’. Amongst a glittering array of top-notch tracks on 'Anjunadeep:03', the Original Mix stands out as an essential piece of listening. Moody yet melodic, dark yet dreamy, its metallic synths oscillate between sharp and soothing, layered over a soft patter of bubbling, twinkling keys.

‘Relic’ gets the remix treatment from French producer Seb Dhajje, who is no stranger to throwing himself into reworking killer tracks having done so for the likes of Röyksopp and Way Out West previously. Dive into a plunge pool of pure tranquillity and bliss on this gorgeously dreamy, stripped-down mix, and prepare to be swept away on the crest of a wave of soft synths.

Winter / Cyan's Child" is the hot new two tracker from Michael Cassette, aka Matti Heininen and Erkka Lempiäinen. Over the last 12 months these two Finns have established themselves as the masters of 80's inspired melodic house music, first with Shadow's Movement, one of the highlights of SOS' excellent Balance compilation, and more recently with their remix of Paul Keeley's "A Sort Of Homecoming", which stormed the Beatport charts and picked up BBC Radio One airplay on James Zabiela's Glastonbury Essential Mix. 

Winter is a real feelgood gem, with 80's synths and riffs riding bareback across a magical, goose-bump inducing groove. Cyan Child is a more intense affair and sounds like a natural follow up to last year's debut single "Zeppelin", picking up a huge reaction when road-tested at the pair's recent performance at Ministry of Sound.

With this new single and another EP lined up on on Anjunadeep under their Komytea guise, not to mention a monster bootleg in the works, it looks set to be a big year for Michael Cassette…

Matti Heininen and Erkka Lempiäinen have delivered plenty of magical Michael Cassette moments ever since they exploded onto the scene with the wonderful ‘Zeppelin’ and ‘David’ and this latest themed step on their musical journey is the perfect companion to the summer months.
‘Magenta Sunset’ represents an exciting change of tack and shift of focus for the boys; lifting out some of the distinctive 80s house hooks and delving deep into progressive terrains but keeping to the essential spirit of joyous vibes you can almost picture the kaleidoscopic streaks of colour in the sky as the sun hides away for the night as the track breezes along and unwinds gently on a cocktail of soft, transcendent melodies and blissful ambiances.
‘Wateresque’ sees the Cassette sound sailing purposefully further into unchartered waters, with its downtuned bass, metallic synths, percussive snaps and tumbling keys creating an edgier, moodier piece interspersed with a lingering, slow-burning melody as beautiful as any the duo have crafted previously, making this package an unmissable addition to the Anjunadeep collection.

"Bullet That Saved Me" - Remixes OUT April 29th!!

1st up and delivering a new spin to this single are the guys from Tritonal themselves, Chad Cisneros and Dave Reed, as they lay down their undeniably immense festival mix. Retaining the vast amount of emotion contained in the vocal of singer Underdown, these two productions maestros have added a new wave of melody-driven energy that provides an extra dimension and makes it perfect for hoards of partygoers to go wild to. It’s no wonder that when Tritonal dropped this at Ultra Music Festival in Miami, it absolutely exploded and had crowds on BOTH weekends of the event giving it their all on the dance floor!

Also offering up their own unique and exquisite twists on ‘Bullet That Saved Me’ are up-and-comers Sebjak, Ken Loi and Bluestone. Swedish Sebjak brings a harder and darker style than the original, with pounding bass and piercing synths conveying that same energy contained in the first cut. In the package’s third remix, US based producer Ken Loi shows off his electro sensibilities as a saw-toothed wave of crunching sound drops in following the melodic build up, before finally Ilan Bluestone wraps things up by taking the more progressive leanings from the single and adding a top end of chopped synths to create a fast-flowing new take.

The self-titled debut that started it all has turned ten.

At the dawn of the new millennium, songwriter, producer, and multi- instrumentalist Klayton created Celldweller, a ground-breaking aural entity for the next age. Thriving on originality, Celldweller cross-bred electronic styles such as Drum'n'Bass and Psy-Trance with modern Alternative Rock and Metal on his self-titled debut, released independently in 2003.

The Celldweller album met with critical acclaim while climbing to #17 on the Billboard Internet Sales Chart. Celldweller gained Top 40 Metal Radio charting with the track “I Believe You” pulling into a solid 11th place on the R&R Alternative Specialty Show Chart. Achieving a feat shared by only an elite handful of albums, every song on Celldweller was eventually licensed for use in popular media.
