Japan - Tokyo Theme - Version 1

This string quartet piece was inspired by a Spanish Surrealism-literature called "La Foto Salio Movida (The Photo came out blurred)" by Julio Cortázar 

Surrealism sought a revolution against the constraints of the rational mind. The With the belief that the creativity that came from deep within a person’s subconscious could be more powerful and authentic than any work of conscious thought, it is my hope that this piece can stimulate our mind in some ways.

La Mente Inconsciente

Based on the Tom Fernandez's original film, Pancho El Perro Millonario (2014), this is a cue about an epic sword duel between two Spaniards for the dog named Pancho. 

This project also have a storyboard that shows the progression of the story. Here is the link for the storyboard.

The Sword Duel (Pancho)

The Brass Quintet piece inspired by a true event during the World War 2, where German Nazi soldiers took over a Jewish Quarter in Belgium, and committed a bloody massacre.

"A nice hump you got there." said Dr. Frakenstein as he padded Igor's hunchback.
"What Hump?" said Igor with straight face. 
An awkward silence between them as the owls hoots from the distance.
A cue inspired by the Young Frankenstein and his assistant Igor.

Born in Urbana-Champaign, Illinois, Michael W. Choi is a Korean-American composer, conductor, and filmmaker specialized in writing music for film, animation, games, and new media.

He graduated from the Berklee College of Music: Valencia Campus, receiving a Master's degree in Scoring for Film, Television, and Video Games. His skills include musical composition, arrangement, orchestration, conducting, mixing, and experience in film production skills. He worked with independent directors and artists in the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He co-founded a student film production group called KUT Film Production, directing and producing short feature films.

He is currently based in Seoul, South Korea, working as a professional producer, music director, and composer for film, animation, video games, and new media.
