I studied music 2 years in Junior High school and all 4 years of high school. I was offered a  scholarship with Pikeville College under the Band director Jim Andy Caudill, Jim use to arrange and compose music for Doc Severson and the tonight show on NBC. I also played guitar and sang for several popular local bands for 30 or more years. Once our  band was contracted to perform with legendary Percy Sledge for a concert in Hazard, Ky. The band I played in Flywheel was a supporting band for the group EXILE. The group EXILE have had numerous Hits in the top 10 Billboard Charts in Rock, Pop and Modern  Country genre.  Our band Cruise was voted best local band by the readers of the Hazard Herald in the year 2000.
