Fiona MacEwan an established Edinburgh singer started singing and writing with an original rock band with her guitarist brother many years ago. She progressed to write, record and perform with various original bands of different genres and collaborated with songwriters on their songs and her own material. She sang backing vocals with Edinburgh African/Celtic band Diwan and Samba Sene at their live shows and on their debut album 'Remind Me'. She believes as a recording/live artist you should have your own style but experiment with different genres and that's why her music is eclectic.  

Her dynamic vocal range and powerful voice led her to sing many years professionally with several wedding/function bands, Abba and Soul tribute bands, here and abroad. She was a member of The Gospel Truth Choir where she supported Sir Tom Jones at Celtic Connections at the GRCH in 2011, sang with Ricky Ross at the GTC live album launch,supported Donny Monroe and Jill Jackson at The Famous Grouse Festival. She also sang with the lead cast of The Lion King at The Edinburgh Playhouse at their 2013 press launch.


She is currently lead singer & manager of popular covers/party band Fi & The Funk Rockers https://www.facebook.com/fiandthefunkrockers/, wedding/function band Diamond Sky & Fiona MacEwan acoustic duo and is an in demand session singer.
