This is the title track of my new EP "Magic Of Our Time".
When I wrote this song I was thinking about the nature of technology and progress. It is easy to take the wonders of the modern world for granted, or quibble about the details, losing sight of the fact we are safer and more connected to each other than any other humans in history.

What was before the Big Bang? Well... the question itself doesn't really make sense - the concept of "before" implies motion in the time dimension. This dimension didn't exist until the big bang so the idea of there being something "before" it is meaningless.
That said, there is a notion of oscillating universes - from big bang to big crunch and then another big bang, over and over... who knows how many universes there were before this one. But then again, what's the difference really. It's all about your frame of reference. Stuff here on Earth is what's important, whether or not it really exists.
This is a rough cut using stock footage just because I didn't want to pay hundreds of pounds to Shutterstock, who I appear to be advertising here instead. But you get the idea anyway: SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE :)
