Since their inception in 2005, Mrs.B have been tweaking their unique sound and live shows which caught the attention of Star Music in 2012.A 3 Album record deal was struck and the group is now set to release their 4th studio Album(1st through Star Music) " To the Sound" nation wide in Jan 2013.This album is geared up to set a new bench mark in South African rock history.

Mrs B may have started out playing covers over ten years ago, but today, they’re bashing out their own “sticky, licky, jumpy, party” rock tunes. 

Mrs B have erupted on the music scene with their brand new album, To The Sound. While this may be their fourth release, this album brings with it a fresh, new sound for the band with more lively, raunchy pop-rock tracks with all original songs written by the ever-so-energetic frontman, Pedro, that will see Mrs B giving old and new fans a feel-good, hip-shaking good time.

The Pretoria-based rock outfit is headed by Mozambican-born, Pedro Barbosa (vocals & guitar) and joined by a fantastic band of merry men including Bradley Carradus (drums), Shawn van Staden (guitar & vocals), Wouter Reyneke (bass & vocals) and Heinie van der Walt (keys, percussion & vocals).

"Prisme" the first album, made the link between Colors, feelings and Music,

The fourth album, is a melancholic reflection on our emotional abysses, on the difficulty of extricating ourselves from our various attractions for nothingness, our inability to look at the mental waste that we produce without going through the guilt box, a critique of normalization, of the conformism of the hollow positivism praised by our overly marketed minds in search of the fastest path to "A Meaning". Finally, it symbolizes the vital necessity of finding our lost naivety.

Singer song writer Ceinwen pulls largely from the story song writing tradition using the rich complexity of her lyrics and marrying them to sonic attributes that are considered both folk and Indie-rock.

By definition Ceinwen's music is not about reviving the past nor is it restricted by traditional genre limitations, rather it seeks independence allowing for sways in creativity that travels through the music providing a lineage to the soul.
