Already the stuff of rock 'n' roll legends, the champagne kickoff birthday party over at Eddington Records. Some say the police came. Some say it was really The Dead and Jerry Garcia himself come back to life who sang Casey Jones ---- some swear they saw 50 Cent every minute or so and he kept asking for change for a buck and saying f*** -- the Gallagher brothers looking for their lost promise --- others gently point out that if you remember anything from the party you probably weren't there. Just ask Ed and the EddingTones -- if you can find them. But who knows. Camera phones were not allowed…

My PD -  Who Gets The Last Laugh? is our second complete original

I've been experimenting with different genres that are outside of my normal wheelhouse. Anyone following my musical endeavors at all probably has noticed that I love U2 and the searing and very musical -- and of course....errr..... edgy guitar leads by The Edge.

I've done relatively little dance music so far. Happened to get a little lucky last night and heard this song. I was inspired and was up all night to get "Get Lucky" done. It was the gift that keeps on giving. I almost gave up, but we'd come too far, so I went to the bar and raised my cup, and got funked up again. So, I rose from the ashes like a Phoenix, up all night to get some ..... cover songs  produced and recorded.  So disco/funk it is.

And yet U2 somehow edged its raunchy melodic Edgy self in.    Go figure... You might notice him jumping in rather abruptly and spitting out riffs based on melodies in the song.
 
So, this is my very real cover of an imaginary U2 cover of "Get Lucky."   That one was by Daft Punk, featuring Pharrell Williams  
who has seemingly been anywhere and everwhere in the last few year. In addition to Daft Punk, he sang and appeared in the video of  a notorious  Robin Thicke video, where he helped  "Blur the Lines" but he also got "Happy" on his own.
 
What if the fiercely , if not frankly ferally ubiquitous  Pharell met up ith Bono and the Edge from U2 for real (or played in a sketch with Will Ferrell and cow bell) ---  "got lucky" and had an illicit love child?  It wouldn't be  a boy or a girl and wouldn't  have a s  trange and much talked about hat --- it  would be a song of course and would sound sort of like this.........

I am most happy to present my newest song --a cover of U2 covering "Get Lucky."
Basically I performed the artificial fertilization  and subsequestnly delivered the musical "One Love" child of Pharrell "Happy" "Get Lucky" Williams and U2 guitarist The Edge -- the spawn inadvertently created when the latter stepped out on Bono not long ago. Think of it as a marvelous monstrous mashup of musical genes and geniuses --- that only could occur if U2 covered "Get Lucky" --- Pharrell's recent disco/funk revival smash hit.
