MALKA first made waves on the music scene as Tamara Schlesinger, the frontwoman of acclaimed alt-folk collective 6 Day Riot and also as a prolific songwriter. Her past work has been included in a host of high-profile syncs for TV series and Hollywood blockbusters – most notably Skins, Scream 4 and 127 Hours.

Now as MALKA - she weaves mesmeric percussive rhythms among a charge of 
irresistible call and response chants and instantaneous melodies. She explores a carnival of global sounds intertwined with an explorative affirming message.

Her highly praised debut album 'Marching to Another Beat' received steady support at 6music from the likes of Lauren Laverne, Chris Hawkins, Nemone and Steve Lamacq and syncs on both MTV and Netflix. Her latest release “Breakout”  has been played on 6music, Radio X and has been playlisted on BBC Radio Scotland has had coverage on high profile press such as The Independent, The Line Of Best Fit and Drowned In Sound.

Alaia & Gallo are a pair of smart young Italian DJs who have quickly made their musical mark, have turned a number of heads and have laid down some essential sets in the best clubs round Europe. It was back in 2013 that they secured their first club hit with the thrilling house grooves and emotive vibes of ‘Beat of the Drum’. The track shot up through the Beatport charts and eventually hit number one in the house genre. It announced the pair had fully arrived and since then there has been no looking back. 

Every tune this pair has put out has picked up plenty of plays from big name DJs such as Claptone, as well as getting many plays on various radio stations around the world and also being included on Defected Records In The House Ibiza 2016 release. More recently this dynamic duo have turned out ‘Who Is He?’ which was signed to the celebrated Soul Heaven Records label. With lush soul as well as feel good house grooves, the cut became a real crossover success and has won the pair many new fans. Their production style takes cues from many different genres, not just house, and as such each new record they put out is fresh and exciting. With such a diverse take on DJing — which takes them all over Europe — and production, it is no wonder Alaia & Gallo really stand out in the modern scene. DJ Alex Taylor has been at the forefront of Australia’s dance music industry for 25 years. With a passion for quality house music, that is soulful, deep and funky to tribal and progressive. He has forged a name for himself that sees him playing regularly across the country and around the world.

As far as awards go, Taylor has earned many. He was named best DJ at the Sydney DIVA awards so many times (five) that he eventually pleaded for people to vote for someone else. Also appearing in the inaugural Nationwide Inthemix Top 50 Australian DJ’s several times #19, #18, #27, #35.
