Dein Genre/Sound
-Von fixem Downtempo zu schmusigem, melodischen Kuscheltechno, mit einer Prise Deephouse. Ab und zu flattert ein alltimeclassic herein zum mitsingen 🤓

Wo kommst du her?
-Geboren und großgeworden an der Ostsee, in Rostock. Wohne und liebe allerdings seit 11 Jahren im Berliner Pankow.

Wie lange legst du schon auf?
-So richtig eigentlich erst seit Anfang des Jahres, nach eurem empowernden Workshop! Nach meiner Endo-OP im letzten Jahr habe ich zu Hause in meinem Zimmerchen geübt. Das gab mir krass viel Kraft nach der Diagnose! Seit dem ist es mein Ventil mit der chronischen Krankheit Hand in Hand zu gehen, statt gegen sie zu arbeiten.

Wie war dein Weg bisher?
-Mein großes Cousinenvorbild hat gesagt, dass „einfach mixen und spielen“ sooo wichtig ist - daher hab‘ ich mich daran gehalten und das letzte Jahr artig zu Hause alle Filter mal ausgetestet. Anfang des Jahres habe ich bei Femquency am Workshop im Meier teilgenommen und mich Hals über Kopf mehrfach verliebt: Einerseits in alle Femquencys, in ihre Kraft, ihren Mut, ihre Ideen und andererseits ins Auflegen vor Publikum. Ohne das Mutmachen von den Femquencys hätte ich mich wohl kaum so schnell getraut meine vier Wände zu verlassen und Menschen als Publikum zu haben, statt meinem Vierpfotenfan. Seit dem geht’s voran! Ich war im Crack Bellmer, Mensch Meier, jetzt in Rostock! Im Sommer kommen Festivals und step by step kommt immer mehr reingekugelt und ich sag’ euch: ich freue mich wie ein Honigkuchenpferd über jede einzelne Anfrage die kam und kommt!

Was ist dir an einem Safer Space wichtig?
-Ein Awarenessteam! Menschen, die ich ansprechen kann und bei denen ich das Gefühl habe, sie nehmen meine Ängste und Sorgen ernst. Für mich persönlich sind vor allem FLINTA-Räume safer spaces, ich würde mir wünschen, dass sich dieses wohlige Gefühl auch in „heteronormative“ Räume ausbreitet für mich.

Möchtest du gerne der Welt noch was sagen oder mitgeben?
-Ich bin so dankbar, dass ihr Femquencys mich adoptiert habt und ich Teil sein darf!Kurzer Werbeblock: Ausserdem habe ich ein kleines Baby in die Welt gesetzt, dass sich Endoversum nennt. Wir sind ein kleines Kollektiv, das sich frisch zusammengefunden hat und Veranstaltungen zum Thema Aufklärungsarbeit zu Endometriose und Adenomyose leisten will. Wir freuen uns über neue Gesichter und FLINTAS, die mitmachen möchten.  Starke Uteri sollten zusammen halten 🙌🏽

✔️ What are your musical influences?
Very diverse, indeed. My first EP I bought was “die Prinzen” :D. 

In my teenage years, I was high on rock and metal - early stuff from Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit (good old days) to harder stuff like Slipknot and Soulfly. 

Around 18 I started to like hip-hop and rap music. Back then, I was battle rapping and really enjoyed this more aggressive style of rap. Weirdly kind of the same time, I started to enjoy electronic music, house, trance, and progressive psy. 

Moving to Amsterdam and later Berlin, I enjoyed parties like the (for me) groundbreaking Barfuß parties. Then Bar25, Kater Holzig, early days of Sisyphos and of course legendary Berghain. 

My interest in Electronic music peaked, and I have not looked back ever since.
					 							
✔️ What makes good “afterhour”?

 The setting: Think a small clearing in a dark forest, a rooftop bar in Bangkok, a sunrise at an amazing beach party in Poland or in the Caribbean, to a man-made "Strand" somewhere in Berlin (Hauptstrasse 15). 

Bring some chilled drinks, some chill out sounds or some banging techno. Most important is you embrace the moment.
					 							
✔️ Do you have any thoughts you would like to share about your set?

Wildthings Festical: A family, a special group of people. 
Talented musicans, DJs, artists, lovers, givers – just beautiful and inspiring people. Every year we meet at an awesome location at Klingenmühle in Brandenburg to dance, laugh, enjoy. It was a dear and special honor to play the main stage closing this year.
						 							
✔️ What was your experience of the set you recorded?

The whole day it was freaking hot, around 38°. Everyone was tired, and Ligal Tamir was already going hard into the night. I was trying to pick up the pace, and gather all people on the dance floor. It worked – ecstatic moves, happy faces, beautiful, buzzing energy. I still have goosebumps thinking about it. Much love!

Das sind auch die Werte unserer kleinen Organisation “TechnoPiraten“ Jeder soll so sein können wie er ist und auch so respektiert werden.

Seit 6 Jahren spiele ich elektronische Musik, die aber schon seit 2000 eine nicht weg zu denkende Leidenschaft in meinem Leben ist.

Als Käpt Flanger tummle ich mich gerne in den Genre: Progressivehouse, Techhouse, Deephouse und Downtempo herum.

Katz & Muus ist ein Seitenprojekt von mir (Flanger) und meiner Frau (LogArithmic)  zusammen. Wir konzentrieren uns auf deepen Downtempo, der mächtig, schön von unten ballert, aber trotzdem tanzbar nach vorne treibt.
Wir spielen aber auch gerne mal Melodichouse und Deeohouse.

Katz & Muus is a side project where I (Flanger) and my wife (LogArithmic) play together. Our focus is more on powerful, deep downtempo, but still danceable. But we also like to play Melodichouse and Deephouse.
