I wanted to create a different kind of track. Something that had a different feel and vibe than my usual dark and brooding sound. I decided to learn to play a few piano chords and this whole track came together organically from those 4 chords. My vocal tone isn't quite back to normal yet but I'm personally diggin it on this track. As usual all lyrics, vocals, music and production all done by this guy. I hope you feel it and enjoy.

this track is really just revisiting an older tune from around 2022 that started off with just the opening electric piano part, and experimented with different synth pads and an arpeggiator. The updated version adds a few newer synth sounds to the mix. It's really still fairly experimental, and I may try another alternate version at some point.

This is a song I wrote in 1989, as a gift for a girl-friend on the occasion of a rendezvous we had arranged ten years earlier, well in advance, and perhaps imagining that it would be difficult, after all that time (at a young age ten years seems like an infinite time), to still have meaning in each other's lives. In reality, those two never lost sight of each other.
I produced several versions of the song and obviously don't like any of them anymore today. So I asked @pianofran permission to whisper and to recite the words (I can no longer sing very good) using a beautiful piano composition of hers as the basis (https://soundcloud.com/pianofran/doxology). This is the result. Thank you very much, Francess!

I am an university professor of history who enjoys playing (guitar and piano/keyboard) and composing: unpretentious, just for fun. As a consequence, the most of my recordings (made with KorgD8 / Audacity and also Reaper now, for MIDI and the Spitfire Audio sound libraries) are handcrafted and largely imperfect.
My stuff consists of old songs (all wrote in the past century; here are only those I have redone in these last years) and old and new instrumentals (usually in various versions, some of which are removed at some point because they're unlistenable). 
Thank you in any case for stopping here to listen to something; in the description area you can find often explanatory notes or lyrics translations.

Here I found a community of great musicians and songwriters and a lot of beautiful music to listen to; you can be sure that any liking, commenting or reposting by me is a consequence of careful listening to the tracks. Obviously, for this very reason, I am not interested in collecting free ‘likes’ without real listening. I will not answer any messages from possible promoters: the number of followers does not interest me in the slightest. 
By popular demand (well, exclusively my daughter's — she says it's the "cooler" platform), I'm finally starting to put some of my stuff on Spotify too...
