Welcome to my live jam at 128 bpm with a modular setup consisting of Erica Synths Techno System, Syntakt, RD-9, TD-3, Clouds, Plaits, 2600, DFAM, and Subharmonicon. In this video, I show you how I create modular techno tracks with a touch of soul and house, using these instruments. The heart of my setup is the Syntakt, a polyphonic and polymetric sequencer that allows me to control all the other modules. The Techno System is a complete modular system dedicated to techno music, including a drum machine, synth, effects, and mixer. The RD-9 and TD-3 are modern reinterpretations of the classic Roland TR-909 and TB-303, adding the typical groove and acidity of techno. The Clouds and Plaits are two Mutable Instruments modules that offer a wide range of tones and textures, from granular to wavetable. The 2600 and DFAM are two semi-modular analog synths that generate powerful bass and harmonious melodies. The Subharmonicon is a polymetric synth that produces subtle and complex sequences based on subharmonic and polymetric music theories.
