There is an enigmatic bigfoot-like character that just came out of the woods after 15 years of being lost. He goes by the handle Ghostly Beard, and he’s a visionary artistic entity with a boundlessly creative sweep that encompasses soft rock, jazz, prog-rock, fusion, pop, classic rock, and more. 

Ghostly Beard’s kaleidoscopic creativity has garnered him comparisons to such diverse artists as Steely Dan, Pink Floyd, James Taylor, Peter Gabriel, Pat Metheny, Cat Stevens, Weather Report, Michael Franks and Chicago. He crafts immersive dreamy sonic landscapes that emotionally blur the line between dark catharsis and subtle rays of hope. Now, he lets us into his universe with an eclectic clutch of thoughtfully sequenced albums.

Have you ever wondered what throwing Jimi Hendrix, Ray Charles, Notorious BIG, Gramatik, Tipper and great brazilian artists such as Tim Maia, Di Melo, Roberto Carlos and Sabotagem in a blender, grinding it all up and adding a touch of bass fuelled funky glitch madness in the mixture would sound like?

Well that’s exactly what the Shaka trio have cooked up for you! Originally from Florianópolis but now residing in the dense skyscraper forests of São Paulo, these three musical mad professors / funkenstein creators have been imploding dancefloors with their sonic treats across Brazil and the world.

They have played alongside Criolo, Marcelo D2, Otto, Black Alien, 5 a Seco, Tom Zé and Bixiga 70 in festivals and nightclubs such as Coala Festival, Tribaltech, Universo Paralello, Lions Nightclub and Clash Club amongst others. And have just recently had their first official release Spacefunk EP by Freshly Squeezed music reach a Top 5 position on Juno Download.

KO.OK is the result of ideas, some of which did not find their way into band projects or were deliberately composed by me alone. I play bass, guitar and since 2019 drums - -1- is my first track with self-recorded drums.
