Mr Richards is a Melbourne/Naarm based DJ, producer and music enthusiast who has been behind the turntables for over 20 years. 

With early influences being musical theatre, his passion and curiosity for colourful and energetic performances started at an early age. His Dj career began in 2001 with the investment in his first set of turntables and his involvement in one of Sydney’s most underground warehouse techno parties, ‘Undercurrents’ in the early 2000’s supporting the likes of Ajax, Simon Caldwell, Zootie, Ken Cloud and Paresis. 

He now runs his own night ‘KaPow’, showcasing established and emerging talent in an intimate setting for extended sets, creating space for acts to experiment with their most personal music and engage in a warm and unique way with audiences.

Mr Richards is a versatile artist when it comes to playing music and in his sets he shares a great variety of styles, with Deep and House tints combined with melodic, organic and minimal sounds.

With his disctinctive husky voice and weighty dreads in tow, JD's presence is impossible to miss behind the decks and in the Melbourne scene.Since returning from overseas in '08, Rock Like This have recognised the diligence, style and charisma JD helms by adding him to the roster allowing him to further hone and improve his craft by playing regularly at some of Melbourne's well-known and busiest clubs.

With his roots and inspiration coming mostly from late 80's to early 90's hip hop and Techno. JD now mixes with precision, a selection of funky,bouncey party bangers that keep onlookers moving and in awe throughout his entire set. And for the keen ears; little gems from the past alongside the lastest from the talented local and international company JD admires, respects and shares time.

His ambition to never stop evolving, involving others, inspiring others and being inspired, has gained him a loyal following of party-goers, beat enthusiasts, friends and peers. JD thrives on being the enabler of an enjoyable time through picky selection of tunes and playing them to anyone who shares his philosophy of 'share and enjoy'.

JD's passion and loyalty for the tunes and the Melbourne scene is hard to rival, seeing him behind and decks and on the dance floor in support and admiration of his surroundings, and seen by all as a healthy addiction. Grateful of the many invites he's been extended and relationships established with organisers, owners, crew and varied other creative types of whom he vibes, and spend alot of his time with.This enables him to gauge , feedback and reaction to his efforts; thus arming himself with and endless arsonal of new tricks and skills to make everytime you see him live, he's in the midst of his best set..

Den ersten Kontakt mit Elektronischer Musik erlebte Dj Giant 1991 zufällig in einer Bar die sich Fischlabor nannte(Schöneberg-Berlin).
Erkan Çelik begann dann dort jede nacht sich aufzuhalten.
Es hat Ihn so faszeniert das er sich in diese Musikrichtung verliebte.
Nach einiger zeit besorgte Erkan Çelik sich zwei neue Plattenschpieler(Technics MK.1210) und fing nun an damit zuhause mit denn Platten die er sich besorgte aufzulegen.

Erkan Çelik war ziemlich früh mit dabei in der Berliner Techno Zsene. Er hielt sich in fast allen Techno Clubs auf.
