Deejay/producer, Chicago House purist, JR From Dallas draws his influences from jackin, deep and tech-house, but keeping that 90's house oldschool beat.

His tracks have been played by the finest's underground house djs such as Mark Farina, Phil Weeks, Hector Moralez, 1200 Warriors, Nick Holder, Roger Sanchez …

In 2007, he launches his label GOURMAND MUSIC RECORDINGS signing essentially american artists but also european talents. Gourmand's roster includes Giano, Cubase Dan, Tommy Largo, Bart Ricardo, Masss and Dave Dubbz just to name a few.

In 2011, Phil Weeks discovers him and signs him to Robsoul Recordings where he released a successful EP. That same year, JR From Dallas entered the family of the legendary american label TANGO RECORDINGS

Little Routine #46 - Robb Swinga - NYC, United States

Robb Swinga (aka Roberto Benitez) is a style of music that dwells from inside a strong rhythm of nailed-down drums and euphonic bass with the emphasis on other instruments such as trumpet, trombone, saxophone, or guitar to name a few. For Robb, music has always surrounded him ever since his Saturday mornings listening to his mother’s record collection while she was house cleaning or sneaking into his older brother 45’s collection meanwhile he was away, even when making push-button tapes while listening to Red Alert play Hip Hop on New York City radio. 


He was fascinated by the various sounds projected from so many records his ears encountered but nevertheless, it wasn’t until the age of 15 that he was exposed to the Underground sound of DJ Roman Ricardo at the Tunnel that his appetite for music outgrew. This exposure created a passionate love towards music that he began feeding his hunger for sound with mix tapes from several DJs and spending every last dime on records from the likes of Todd Terry, MAW, and Frankie Knuckles to name a few. With his rich hearing, he began to learn the process of beat making, dissecting bass lines, drum patterns and anything his ears captured.




Even after college of being provoked and infatuated by creating sounds, Robb decides to dig deeper into the industry of the Underground sound and lands a job at INDI Distribution alongside its vast catalog of labels for example; Strictly Rhythm, Nervous Records and let’s not forget to mention Henry Street, which are some of the labels whom can claim to mark today’s scene. Being exposed to both ropes of production and sound collection from DJs/Producers heating things up on the dance floors triggered and inspired Robb to start his very own label. It was the year 2012 that gave the birth of NorthStar Recordings

Gangstercast 58 comes from French house DJ/producer ‘Giom’ 

‘Funky, eclectic, quirky, smooth, melodic, yet always bumpy with a solid groove…’ It’s not easy trying to define the sound that Giom has created for himself over the years but when you attend one of his energetic DJ sets, sample one of his many remixes or dance to one of his chart-topping #1 singles, the message becomes clear: Giom is here to make you move your feet.
And maybe that’s why the London-based Frenchman’s music has been supported by such an impressive list of the world’s best DJs, from the underground kings to the big room soldiers, from Fedde Le Grand to DJ Sneak, Green Velvet to Joey Negro, David Vendetta to Jimpster, Mark Knight to Grant Nelson, Sharam Jey to Kolombo, it seems everybody needs a bit of the Giom sound in their DJ sets. 

In the Summer of 2014, his song “Dr. Zapp" topped the Beatport Indie / NuDisco Top 100 and to this day still remains in the Top 50. And at the end of 2014, Giom was Beatport’s 25th most downloaded Nu Disco artist and was voted Traxsource’s 29th most important Deep House artist of the year.

Giom has worked, released, toured and collaborated with the likes of Riva Starr, Joey Negro, Fred Everything, Loulou Records, Toolroom and Defected Records. He has also headlined some of the world’s best clubs such as Fabric (London), Privilege (Ibiza), LIV (Buenos Aires), 360 (Dubai) and has performed in over 30 countries. 

Away from house music, Giom’s preferred spot is behind the drum kit, which has seen him touring and recording for the likes of Alice Russell, The Nextmen and Kasabian.

Asking Giom how this mix represented him as an artist, he commented; “This mix is old school, mixed with new school, vinyl and digital, sexy, funky, silly, French and quite laid back. Like me!” 

Giom describes the House Gangster sound as “an urban/ghetto/attitude take on the sound we all love” 

When we asked Giom, What does House music mean to you? He replied with, “House music is something I can't explain, it's a feeling, a hypnotic groove, it's a movement. I mean, even bad house music makes me want to dance, that's how much I love it.”  

Telling us how he compiled this mix, he says, “I chose tracks that reminded of how I felt when I used to listen to DJ Sneak many years ago, but also some that represent me today and try to showcase who I am and what I'm about.”

In December 2014 Claud was nominated as "Founding Member" of the DJ Hall Of Fame Group (Excellence / Dedication / Ethics) based in Chicago Illinois.

Claud also has his weekly Radio Live Broadcast on www.chfmworldwide.com / Chicago House FM one of the most frequented Radiostations for Chicago House every Sunday from 14-16pm EST with many special and exclusive Guests from all over the world and kindly promoted by House Salad Music.

In June 2014 Claud began to co-produce Underground House Music Tracks with his good friend since more than 30 years - Pc-Pat. 
The first releases from both came out on May 2015 under Underluxe Records, June 2015 under Reason2Funk and more to follow on DOIN' WORK Records and Greenhouse Recordings.

In August 2015 Claud has received the great opportunity to get released a Gangstercast on the very well known I'M A HOUSE GANGSTER MOVEMENT by DJ SNEAK.

In 2016 Claud founded Colours of House ™ as his Brand.
