Encompassing organic and instrumental elements, grounded by earthy, driving basslines. A sonic pilgrimage nothing short of a pure blend of euphoria, tribalism and complexity hidden within deep emotive techno. arketech is a name hard to look past when it comes to techno in the Australian outdoor scene. Hailing from the northern tropics outside of Cairns, now calling home the lush surroundings of Byron Bay, the influence of the lands is clear upon his psychedelic prog-tech style. A family artist of Stone Seed - previously known as Bassic Record, arketech has also released on Perfect Stranger's Digital Structures imprint, Kalya Scintilla's Merkaba Music and Canada's Techgnosis Records.

Throughout Australia he has become a beloved name in the festival, doof and indoor scene, travelling to Perth, Melbourne, Cairns, Brisbane and the entire east coast, leaving all beautifully effected in his wake. Earth Frequency, Strawberry Fields, Subsonic Music Festival, Rabbits Eat Lettuce and Lucid Labyrinth on his resumé, kicking off his international journey in 2016 with headline slots in New Caledonia and New Zealand and collaborations behind the scenes with Australia’s most respected psychedelic producers, arketech is in the exciting early stages of a life time long journey through sound.

At 2003 I discovered electronic dance music. 2006 I started mixing with cd-player. A year after I got my first (progressiv Trance) gig with "Rheinfeuern Köln" at Kolbhalle, Cologne. Later i became a resident- DJ at "Rheinfeuern Köln".
In the following years I got a lot of experience,
I played in different clubs in Germany and Asia. At 2011 I became a member of the "Listen and Enjoy"-family. Contemporary I met my brother Sufi Soul and we founded the DJ-Team called "The Sufi Eye Project". Since 2013 the project supports "Rheinfeuern Köln" with deep, pumping and funky progressiv sound. 
At this time i also followed my passion to Techno-/Techhouse music and started to mixing...and i like it! The new sound is an interaction between Techno and progressive Trance music. 
Its deep, groovy and floating.

The sounds of the Käse Kochen sobriquet are an enigmatic & satisfying blend of various sub genres of contemporary progressive dance music. A homogenous amalgam of synthetic & organic sounds; instrumental, digital and found - resulting in something truly profound.
 
Originating in the forest dwelling doof scene of Northern New South Wales, Käse Kochen has ripened into an impressive Australian artist, gracing internationally sought slots including Rainbow Serpent Festival’s Market Stage, Shankra Festival’s Horizon Floor (Switzerland), Subsonic Music Festival and Elements Festival’s Main Stage.
 
A family artist of Australia’s Stone Seed imprint (formerly Bassic Records), Käse Kochen has made his mark as one of the pioneering artists of the country’s unique “bush techno” sound and furthermore, of the global progressive techno movement. Between his Käse Kochen alias and birth-name project Harrison Downes, he prolifically releases on Stone Seed, Digital Structures and Techgnosis Records, along the way collaborating with and remixing the likes of The Riddler/Talpa, Maksim Dark, Jossie Telch, Electrypnose, Luis M, Carbon, Sugar Glider and scores of Australia’s most talented.
 
Käse Kochen’s full length album “Encounters In Melancholy” embodied the concept and journey of the project. Encounters was revisited with a stunning 2020 remix album, and proceeded by the immense Encounters Vol III, that saw Käse Kochen intertwine with artists such as The Riddler, K.A.L.I.L, Dysphemic, Ben Coda and more, forging his name with the elite of the psychedelic scene.

✦ Harrison Downes • Biography ✦

Shaped by smooth progressive grooves, driven by surreal weighty basslines, Harrison Downes develops cinematic experiences with each conceptualised piece, resulting in his astounding collection of aural art.
 
Famed by his bush techno project Käse Kochen, Harrison Downes delves into the deeper realms of progressive techno, progressive house and minimal tech under the guise of his birth name.
 
Launching in 2019, the Harrison Downes project quickly gained serious momentum, with his debut single ‘Desiderata’ on Techgnosis Records as well as singles and remixes of Doppel, Rainbird, Waveback, Maxi Basshead / Hoodat and Käse Kochen across Stone Seed, Digital Structures and SixthSense Australia platforms.
