Cover of the Flaming Lips 2001 song - recorded by The Junkers at around 2003 - - I like The Junkers version much better - - Mickey was about 12 when he recorded this song.

Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots (Cover)

One of the very first songs that Mickey wrote and produce - - the only other ones that I can think of from the very beginning are "What Do I Know; I'm Just a Boy",  "Martians stole my brains" and "What Do You Want Me Here For" - Unfortunately, I can find copies of either of these just now - - still hunting through old back-ups.  He was about 12 when he wrote and produced this with The Junkers.  Stay with it to the end to hear some great guitar offered up by Kerem.

This song is beautiful - - Mickey's Friend, Tom Dorsey, wrote: "Mickey spent so long on this song, it was honestly the hardest I've ever seen him work on one particular song. I remember it took him an entire winter, I believe the one between 2008 and 2009"

Mickey had a 3rd band circa 2008/2009 - called Power Outage Baby. Band members included Mickey, Tom Dorsey, Michael March, Chris Kydd and Clay Johnson. This is one of their songs.

A Part Of You

A friend of Mickey's just sent me a copy of a CD that Mickey had given him in September of 2009. To quote his friend, "This CD contains some of his softer music which is incredibly beautiful".  

I had not heard this song before receiving this CD. I'm guessing Mickey produced this one during the summer of 2009, just before he left for college at Evergreen.

Mickey (God-like) Leor (My Light) Ephrath - Born 3/28/91 - Died 1/7/2013 - In his short life, he read a lot of books, wrote a lot of poetry and music, produced a lot of great songs, made a lot of people happy, made some mad as hell, broke more than a few hearts, had a lot of friends, lost more than a few, loved deeply, lived fully, and always took the path that he chose.  He will be missed!  But, may his creativity and music live on.  

Knowing Mickey's feelings and thoughts about God, rather than traditional liturgy, our Rabbi read the following poem, written by Chaim Nachman Bialik, on the 7th and last day of Shiva with the family at his graveside. The poem was originally written in Hebrew.
