Mickey Burns is a band from the East Coast of South Africa. A Durban outfit by birth, these boys have a sound so difficult to pigeon hole but oh so easy to move to. Even they can’t agree on the style they play; the only thing they agree to is that they make music to make people bounce. And what is more intrinsic to music than bounce? It’s the kind of move that crosses genres. Hell I’d bounce to a waltz. Is bounce a genre? If so, Mickey Burns is  indie-bouce- (hip)hop.

So, who are Mickey Burns? What’s the mince of this burger? There are five distinct ingredients:

 Travis Nel - Sound fundi who holds down the bounce fort with his bass. 
Jonas Barausse - He sings and gets most of the credit despite having the least musical ability. Yes Jonas… we said it. Shhh or our ninjas will kill you. Kisses.
And an ensemble of ninjas. That's right...NINJAS! 

At the end of the day, Mickey Burns is one thing: a band. A band who makes you bounce. And if that isn’t enough to make you at least a little curious...
