The 50th

Bio - It has been over 8 years since Ayan was exposed to this vibrant and inclusive world of electronic music and it has been a magical journey, to say the least. Having been enthusiastic about music, tech and art while growing up, all of his interests have converged together in the form of this project.

Playing out music has always been a transcendental experience, allowing him to surpass musical barriers and bring together a balanced yet forward-thinking experience on the floor. He’s been influenced by a wide spectrum of artists, which has pushed him to develop creative maturity and find his musical identity around spacier grooves, engaging synths and oﬀ-kilter percussions.

Shaping up his musical journey are experiences he had while sharing the decks with some of his inspirations on the international level such as Patrice Baumel, Innellea, Kidnap, Karmon, GLOWAL, Kora, while also setting the stages for some national top guns like Murthovic, Praveen Achary, and Jitter. Having been making music for a while, 2 EPs saw the light in 2020, one of which reached #40 in Top 100 Afro House Releases on Beatport and got positive feedback from the likes of Nick Muir, Innellea, Xinobi etc.

Quistek is a one-of-a-kind electronic music DJ and producer who’s sound spectrum goes from psychedelic house with an Arabian influence for sundowners to dark underground minimalism when the vibe during peak hours demands it. The ability to create a fitting vibe no matter who he’s playing for is what makes Quistek stand out, and that talent was recognised both when he was first signed by Submerge in 2015, and when he won the INCA DJ of The Year, Pune Award in 2019. He has music releases with labels such as Lump Records, TRNDMSK & NRTYA are only additional bonuses for his career as a musician.

It is the year 1989 of the old millennium. Infinite times are behind me, behind us ... I was a raver and everywhere where there was "electronic dance music". Clubs, open airs, Loveparade.             Paul van Dyk was my first hero. I immersed myself in a genre of music that was new to me. Heard from now on, instead of electronic and pop music from Tangerine Dream, Genesis, Pink Floyd and Kraftwerk, House, Trance and Progressive Trance. Dyed my hair blonde and bought the first vinyls and CDs. Then a mixer and professional CD player and began to mix. I was more and more enthusiastic about musicians and DJ`s like Sasha, Bedrock, Underworld, James Holden, Pappa & Gilbey and many more. There are so many styles today that it's hard to keep track of them. You stop at some point and stick to your style / sound. Progressive House is my genre. But it always happens that the old artists inspire me to create new oldschool sets. Here is my latest work. Immerse yourself with me in the past millennium and remember the Berlin Loveparades. My name is Mickey, a.k.a Mickon-A. I'm from Israel.  In each set I try to draw a line from start to end, you might call it storytelling.. I usually play new tracks, few weeks old, and travel between Progressive Techno to Ethereal Techno. Always aiming for a good ride.. 😍
