AN EXPERIMENT THAT BULGES FROM THE LANDSCAPES OF CONTEMPORARY MUSIC LIKE AN ABUSIVE SWELLING OF SOUND.

Founded in the city of Bologna, the band has been active since 2015. After a short trip in the USA, Andrea Laino, arrived at his “crossroads” in a smoky, blues bar on the Upper West Side of New York City after attending a soulful performance by a local bluesman. Suddenly he realized which road to choose: writing songs and digging in the musical language of the blues. He then returned to Italy with a notebook full of stories, transformed them into songs with a resonator guitar, and played them on the streets of Bologna.

After the self-released EP , the band produced , its debut album for Off Label Records in 2017. On May 2021 the new album  is released. Mixed by famous musician and producer J.D. Foster (Marc Ribot, Calexico, Lucinda Williams) the album expose the heavy blues and psychedelic nature of the band.

Laino & Broken Seeds is a musical journey through the shamanic and archaic side of the blues. Inspired by southern lands, muddy rivers and vintage equipment, the raw electric resonator of Laino tell stories of lost memories, dizzy dreams and dusty records.

Con i Golfo Mistico, orchestrina da piazza o da bar, raccontiamo storie di personaggi randagi, in disperata ricerca di sé o, alla peggio, di un buon bicchiere di vino. La nostra è una musica colta e ironica, che gioca col jazz e col tango, sempre nel solco della canzone d'autore. 

Scriviamo canzoni un po' inquiete e un po' romantiche, sempre con una punta di ironia in sottofondo. La nostra formazione è leggera quanto basta per muoversi da un portico di Bologna alle parate di New Orleans, da un argine erboso alle taverne di Buenos Aires.

Due gambe di donna che balenano nei ricordi, un cappello che disegna ombre misteriose sui muri di Bologna, un oltremare lontano e sempre più irraggiungibile.... I personaggi dei Golfo Mistico ne hanno di storie da raccontare, pensate che un giorno potreste avere il piacere di incontrare uno di loro in giro per la città o al bancone di un bar: siamo sicuri che vi farà piacere scambiare due chiacchiere e sentire cosa ne pensa del mondo o della giusta torbatura del whiskey…
