Sariel Orenda makes his debut on Resueño with the release of his first album 'Whispers from the Seventh Sky'. The album is a full journey through a range of languages from around the world while maintaining a steady hypnotic beat in true Resueño fashion. The tracks are deep and slow with the perfect amount of space to engage the listener while allowing for the imagination to fly in between the notes. The energy weaves delicately between the masculine and feminine, the active and the passive, stillness and movement. Two tracks feature the beautiful voices of Bulgarian sisters DeviRa (Sisters of Light). The sisters infuse their own balkan essence with both Spanish and Sanskrit to deepen the world fusion offering beyond any cultural limitations.

"For me the slow beat is the gateway to finding the inner flow and it gives me the opportunity to move with it continuously. I love music that helps people connect with something beautiful and positive, music that gives the listener a brighter perspective on life, reminding us of the divine beings we are and the beautiful world we are surrounded by. Montreal duo HOKI return to The Young Proprietor imprint with quite possibly their most stirring work to date. The new three track ‘Oliver’s Hill’ EP showcases a cinematic indie electronic sound that blends lush melodies and beautifully textured atmospheres with gripping vocal work. 
 
’Lockscreens & Icons’ is a sublime example of the duo’s ability to thread the line between the dark and the light. The track offers up a melancholic yet ever hopeful listening experience.

‘Mellim’ is a similarly delicate cut, layering entrancing keys on a slow-rolling drum ensemble. It is elevated by a captivating vocal performance that leaves a longing feeling.

Closing out the EP is an ambient mix of ’Lockscreens & Icons’. Stripping the track back, HOKI present its stunning, emotive core in its most raw form.

The musician addresses the multifaceted human essence, with its light and dark sides. Usually, a person's actions and thoughts are directed into the outside world. However, when hard times come, we look inward, trying to get through the wilds to the darkest corners of our souls. Live Music for Vinyasa Yoga with Janet Stone (Yoga Tree Castro 1/10/17)

Volume 1 - Dec 29th

After 20 years of dreaming, I finally decided to take my yoga teacher training, and I did it with my partner Naomi Jason, and one of my favorite teachers, Shiva Rea.  

We trained for 3 weeks at Blue Spirit in Nosara, Costa Rica.

I've been making music for Shiva for almost 20 years, and this was by far the most intimate and rewarding journey of collaboration. 

Enjoy the vibes!  You can hear Shiva teaching in the background, so this is for practice, probably not best for use in class.  I hope to translate these into studio releases this spring :)
