Russian duo "Panorama Channel" are back on Biologic Records with "Jigsaw Lovers Club" featuring two remixes from Berlin based "Aera". After releasing on "Innervisions" and John Talabots "Hivern Discs" last year Aera is well placed to provide 2 stellar remixes.

Panorama Channel debuted on Biologic, the label belonging to Abstraxion and DC Salas, in 2016 with Chloe’s Dream and on this latest EP the pair continue with their ambition of creating emotional and contemporary electronic music.

Atmospheric percussion builds in intensity until the bass drum kicks on the first track, 'Jigsaw Lovers Club'.The track continues to swell with an undulating synth melody.‘Teacher’ is a straighter dance floor heater, without the swelling emotion of 'Jigsaw Lovers Club’ the track is able to maintain a hypnotic rolling line until a vocal sample brings in the melody. ‘Jigsaw Lovers Club Aera remix’ has a paired down introduction, drums and percussion reach a small crescendo before breaking down into a minimal and emotive beat.The synth line becomes squelching acid 303’s before abruptly returning to a minimal break. Finally Aera delivers another remix of the same track, he maintains the loopy top lines whilst eliminating the bass.

Reaching international listeners on Proton Radio, Digitally Imported, and other radio platforms, Silk Music Showcase recently reached its 400th episode (http://www.silkmusicshowcase.com) and now often ranks amongst the Top 100 Music Podcasts in the USA on iTunes.

Carefully selected to represent the sound of our radio show (and, more generally, our label), the songs included in the compilation range from the more pensive and melancholic shades of progressive to the more club-oriented, peak-hour material we tend to play at the end of our radio show mixes and live sets. Many of the artists are seasoned veterans of the SMS compilation series; there are also numerous first-time contributors to this year's compilation, many of whom have asserted themselves as leading talents in trance & progressive in just the past year.

Silk Music is excited to present the deeper half of Silk's seventh annual remix compilation. With an extra layer of warmth, our "Deep & Chill Selections" EP features moving contributions from Elypsis, Terry Da Libra, Approaching Black, Jayeson Andel, and SineRider.

Next we have Jayeson Andel's remix of "Haunted" by Movement Machina. As the intro cues, Jayeson Andel guides us into the warm unknown. In reverie and awe, we're gently pushed past the frontier of ambience, only to be embraced by melodic glitches and intertwining basslines. In a spur of vocal and percussive chops, Jayeson Andel's remix dabbles between progressive and future bass elements, adding a flair of momentum before residing back into the hypnotic state of enchanting vocals and delicate pads.

Saafi Brothers are an electronics oriented outfit that perpetuates trippy vibes and calming atmospheres. The musicians enhance their palette with pumping rhythms and inauspicious treatments amid quaint melodies. They effectively meld elements of the visual with lucid soundscapes and blissful themes.

The Saafis returned to the studio in 2000, delivered their second longplayer on Blue Room Released, 'Midnight’s Children'. The album represented another perfect demonstration of the Saafi-style made up of the will to experiment and get deep into low-down dub and beats, that get the tunes rocking.

Vena Portae is the project of Artem Demidov and Katya Zlobina, musicians and sound shamans from Altai, Russia. Artem and Katya use natural and synthesized, acoustic and electronic sounds in their music, which is a mixture of different styles: ambient, downtempo, glitch, IDM, soundscapes, trip-hop, ethnic.

There are 5 drone-ambient tracks in the album, which form a single sound canvas. When recording, musicians used electronic synthesized sounds and many acoustic instruments. The Balance contains harp, percussion and noise instruments from Bali, Altai, Australia and 7 quartz singing bowls.

Musical plans imperceptibly replace each other and smoothly transfer the listener, then to the silent ancient mountains of Altai, then to the depths of the Milky Way, then to the shaman's fire burning in the midst of the chaparral thickets.
