Microcosmos Records presents the EP Awareness of Eclecticism from the group Six Dead Bulgarians.

If you are truly passionate about Russian electronic music, you have definitely heard about the band Six Dead Bulgarians. Having developed from industrial analog noise in the 90s to creation of complex rhythmic patterns and vocal parts, the musicians are happy to share one of the best releases so far - the EP Awareness of Eclecticism.

This is an amazing melodic embodiment of infinite void and silence. The musicians drew inspiration from a trip to the Taymyr Peninsula, where the endless, deaf, snowy tundra helps to release the most secret feelings. The magic parts of the flute, djembe, and santura will help you catch the state of a "blank sheet", reach out to your true self. Each composition is designed to take a closer look at the puzzles of our consciousness and assemble them into a single, integral way of thinking. You will come back to this EP again and again.

Microcosmos Records is proud to release an album by the legendary experimental band Six Dead Bulgarians.

Founded in 1994, the band brings the finest blend of analog synths, acoustic instruments, ethnic singing, and atmospheric beats. 6DB music is influenced by local folk legacy, psychedelic experience, vast and cold natural landscapes, and drone music.

“Contact in The Field of Attention” takes us on a journey into the basic feelings of our inner world. Random field recordings come structured to melodies. Ethnic vocals and didgeridoo beats occasionally appear for a few minutes and dissolve into the soothing mix of noises, flute chords, throat singing and warm pads. Tracks transform over time, though the listener perceives the album as a single piece of music.

The sound of this EP is downtempo, chillout and ambient with psychedelic elements.
The tracks create a dreamy, floaty headspace through the use of lush pads, ethereal synths, and gentle rhythms.
The overall vibe is very chilled-out and relaxing, suitable for meditation or just zoning out.

Track by Track:

'Under a Bright Star' starts things off slowly with shimmering keys and a warm bassline that builds in intensity over time. This sets the tone for the EP's soothing yet engaging soundscape.
'Unknown Signal' takes the listener on a more psychedelic journey with trippy synth effects and a pulsing beat that evokes the feeling of floating through space.
'Endless Energy' is the highlight of the EP, transporting the listener to an almost out-of-body state through its use of atmospheric sounds and a hypnotic rhythm.
'Gravitational Singularity' closes the EP by washing over the listener with soothing ambient textures, leaving one feeling refreshed and recharged.

This is a very well-crafted EP that achieves its goal of creating a meditative yet engaging listening experience through sound. The tracks are expertly produced and arranged to build a cohesive journey from start to finish.

While the music may not break any new ground stylistically, it executes the downtempo-psychill styles very well, making for a relaxing and thought-provoking listen.
I would highly recommend this EP for fans of ambient, chillout and downtempo music looking for something to help them zone out and recharge.
The mood and vibe created here are truly transportive, and the production quality is high throughout. This is the kind of EP I can see myself returning to again and again for moments of calm reflection.
