Music with You! Kylie. Call Me is from our upcoming album Body Arcana (out June 16/Link in bio). We created this 3 min 19 second jingle of a pop tune as a love letter-combo-invitation to the Aussie Queen of Pop, one Ms. Kylie Minogue. It was inspired by our love of the Kylie /Towa Tei track ‘GBI’ from 1997, where Kylie reportedly faxed Towa Tei a message to his HQ in Japan  to try and work with him on a track. What did the fax say? Simply, you guessed it: Music with You! Kylie. Call Me.

Our song is also inspired by the track ‘Arigato We Love You’ by Pizzicato 5, where P5 and a Dutch band make a song over the phone instantaneously. We love the idea of that by chance, impromptu artistic moment.

Our song is a midtempo dreamy electropop number, with a spoken word beginning moving into the soaring robotic sparkly chorus. We hope you like it. 

This is the 4th and final pre-release track before the full album comes out, streaming and purchasable everywhere on Friday June 16th. We hope you can join our adventure.

“Impermanence” is the first independently-released single by Portland, OR-based DJ and producer silversound.

Nineties house piano, dubby synth stabs, and a bubbling bassline ride a swishy 909 beat, accented by giddy snare rolls and a snarling Reese bass.

The title, inspired by the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh and Pema Chödrön, honors the acceptance of impermanence as a fact of life, and the gratitude for life’s preciousness that arises from that acceptance.

Jake Muir's latest set of soft-focus, sensual electro-concrète, dissolves X-rated gay sleaze flick soundtracks into a shimmering suite of subdued orchestral flourishes and surreal cosmic psychedelia.

After 2020's 'the hum of your veiled voice', a romantic, neo-noir set of nocturnal rattles and lubricated rumbles, Muir began to approach a new concept. Putting together a long-form mix for Honey Soundsystem, he began to consider the eroticized soundscapes of gay subculture outside of the mainstream, looking closely at texture, psychedelia and emotionality.

The idea was to represent queer sexuality in a looser, more experimental manner, grazing the super-sensory pleasure of the bathhouse experience and the illicit joy of cruising without getting too self-serious while doing it. The mix was so popular that Muir followed it up with a weightless sequel two years later, and began developing the concept into a proper album, using more samples of music and dialogue, eventually performing the piece at the esteemed GRM as part of their FOCUS #4 concerts alongside work by Eliane Radigue, Folke Rabe and Chris Watson.
