Joe’s productions have been released on legendary imprints such as All Day I Dream and Bedrock and supported by the likes of Sasha, Guy J and Nick Warren. We are thrilled to have an artist of his pedigree join the series.

Pablo Bolivar needs no introduction—he's a true legend in our scene. We've been following and collecting his records since the early to mid-2000s when he was releasing burners on labels like Regular and others.

His seminal self-titled work and collaborations, such as with Pulshar, are some of the finest examples of dub, techno, and deep instrumental music you'll hear.

Over the years, Bolivar has built a reputation for his smooth, melodic, and atmospheric sound. His music has a contemplative and immersive quality, making it a favorite among fans of refined and sophisticated electronic excursions.

Never one to stay idle, he continues to craft and spin exceptional mixes, all while keeping busy with gigs, radio shows, podcasts and releasing music on his labels AvantRoots with Sergio Sainz Vidal and Pablo's own label, Seven Villas.

This mix is a special treat—a recent live (Vinyl Only) recording from Pablo's all-night session at The Deep Room in Santander.

We're thrilled to welcome one of the legends to our mix series and hope you enjoy this as much as we do.

This short sketch was my entry to the recent Metapop/MUTEKI Reaktor Blocks challenge. It was made with a single Blocks patch and recorded within Reaktor with real-time manipulation of parameters. It mainly uses factory Blocks, including the NIJI Drum modules and one User Library Block, the Microwave Oscillator. 

I am working on turn it into a finished track, so keep an eye out :-) You can download the patch above.

Northern Lights V2 (Reaktor Blocks Sketch)

So. We are leaving you to guess what the title of @pablo-bolivar’s mix, Música Para Estar, means, and are focusing on something else this time, namely, the days we are living now. On the one hand, the whole world is experiencing the same pain and anxiety, everyone is trying to help everyone else, realizing or rather feeling how much we are interdependent or connected to each other. On the other hand, though, these days are really, truly about us. How many seemingly important things have disappeared and how much time, really important and cherished time, we have in our possession, so we get to stay with ourselves. Whether we want it or not is of course a whole different story, but the thing is we can. We have more time on our hands, having tangled ourselves with a bunch of things we had invented to keep ourselves busy, and now they are gone, and we have remained alone with ourselves, and it’s probably the first time ever we’ll not only be helping others, but ourselves too, given that no such opportunity will be given to us ever again. We’ll be thinking about everything we have said in the past and what we do today and the promises of the future, about the people who were and are in our lives, those who should be but are not and those we’ll certainly meet but not for now. In fact, we can go on like this forever, and realize at some point that the title, this text, this music, us, our thoughts, future plans, the indelible past and the vague future, and pretty much everything we know are not about the same thing. Or it may turn out that they have nothing to do with each other, and we just want them to be like that.
