In collaboration with @radioalhara , we present a broadcast of the sound of resistance for Palestine live from our studio at the heart of Amman.

The Sonic Liberation Front is an initiative by platforms and artists who came together to unify their sound for Palestine and protest against the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people.

Ex.Hale employs the use of mangled metal percussions and harsh, saturated noise however atypical to his contemporaries a focus is placed on the blending of unusual and lush electronic music textures. With the music and composition predominately relying on improvising, Ex.Hale seamlessly melds together the dualities and schisms of these opposing sonic worlds into compositions that are truly singular which are intended to target the listener’s wounds of trauma and sear them closed by offering a unique world of escapism.

Born in 1995, Sharaf Saleh aka irrational variable is a DJ, MC, radio host and sound artist based in Amman, Jordan. He is the co-founder of micro.radio.Sharaf’s sound is inspired by various moods and genres such as anxiety-induced moments, dark disco, nu-disco, experimental sounds and abstract improvisations with a sound that touches bases within different mediums, tension levels capping at some moments while also releasing in another.

We seek to untangle the repetitive consumption-patterns of commercial radio stations by providing a platform for unexplored content, unbound by genres and methods. Our approach is focused on curating a critically lacking discourse on music, culture and the city.
