Lexia Majora is a Romanian DJ based in Exeter UK, specializing in techno, minimal, and house. She is the co-manager of techno night Room 303 and women + nonbinary collective Sister Sounds. 

She plays regularly in Exeter and has supported artists such as Daniel Avery, Peach, Mall Grab, and Afrodeutsche. Lexia learned how to mix on vinyl at Mix Nights in Bristol, and even though she mostly plays digitally nowadays, vinyl remains her true love. 

Currently, Lexia Majora is doing an anthropology PhD at the University of Exeter about the Rominimal genre and community and hopes to publish a book about this afterward. 

This mix reflects Lexia Majora’s eccentricity, and her preference for wonky, alien sounds which challenge the listener to step out of their comfort zone, while also providing a sense of familiarity through the warmth of the melodies and vocals that are sprinkled around it.

On this episode we invited Katharine Abrahams from Motion:Theory (@katharine-motiontheory), sublime sounds and hypnotic funk stimulate her being, compelling her to source, mix and access dimensions too many to mention. A natural curator, the journey is micro, psychedelic, soul-stirring and funky; perfect for vibration appreciation in the dance floor sweet spot.

Flipping records and dancing by the side of dj Ben Abrahams for 18 years, their marriage is firmly rooted between decks and dance floor. Their child Eli has lived 6 years of immersion in the most delectable sound waves. They featured on dancefloors back in 2000, as Ben rocked forests and the infamous Melbourne nightclub Onesixone as the Earthcore resident, until a series of adventures found them inhabiting a church in the Byron Bay hills. Children, animals and wild folk were drawn to their all ages acid-house parties at the local Billinudgel Barn, an ecstatic hoe-down to luscious vinyl amidst the surreal Australian bush. Katharine and Ben played records at the early Splendour in the Grass Festivals before moving to Rainbow Bay, to create the freshest experience on the Gold Coast at the infamous Elsewhere Bar.

Katharine danced to Ben's legendary sets, which consistently went off every Saturday for Motion:Theory:Music, from Elsewhere's conception, for 7 years. Dhe played an early set of warm psychedelic house before Ben, and then moved between heaving dance floor and turntables for the spectacularly crazy early morning hours. No words can describe that scene either, but it's imprinted in many memories. Elsewhere won  'Best Music for a Club in Australia' at the Sydney Bar Music Awards at this time.

They are now in Melbourne, where she has dj'd for Killing Time Bar, Black Market, Quality Project, Faceless, Doesnt Matter, Revolver's Mama Said and Mi Casa. Katharine closed the Garden Stage for A Collective Future in the bush, and had everyone vibrating, elevating and connecting. She has created podcasts for Mesa Recordings from Santa Fe, Art-E from Romania podcast and next, she and Ben create for Bonjour Minimal.

Blurring the line between house and techno, their Motion:Theory parties are renowned for involving others who See:With:Their:Ears. Katharine's selections are unique, and mixing style smooth and bass driven. She will twist you new ways with her flow of astral:house. Not one to hold back, whether djing alone or with Ben, she connects the space with energy designed to spiral you up and out.

Alexander Kornienko is a dj and producer from Belgorod, Russia. Broad experience in DJing and great taste in music helped him to significantly improve the quality of his own tracks. Also, Alexander promotes classical vinyl DJing. Kornienko's debut release was in september 2016 on the label known by Blind Vision. The next EP was released in the winter 2017 on Conceptual. Later, he worked with a new born lable Ouvert on his first vinyl release, which included four tracks. Due to the concept of the label, all the tracks were listed as Unknown Artist – Unknown Track. 

The team of Complete label discovered Alexander's music and he took a part in their showcase of summer 2017 in Gazgolder night club. Later on, Alfij joined Complete's team. Alexander also gets a lot of attention from other teams and starts playing for clubs such as Gazgolder, Propaganda, Avangarden, Aglomerat, Dissident, Poison House, Дом Культуры and other clubs in Moscow and Saint Petersburg, Rostov on Don, Nijniy Novgord, Lipetsk and Belgorod. Furthermore, Aflij continues working on his own music and makes remixes for Russian and foreign labels, such as Capodopere, hedZup, Bla Bla, Cachai, Blind Vision, Conceptual, Whyostro, Innocent Music, Plant 74, Moff, Other Thoughts Records, Aenaria Music, iTech, DP-6, Applique and Conrigore Records. His tracks hit the top of Beatport's chart more then once. In 2018 Engineer Records' release features his track Alfij – Empire. Currently, Alexander actively cooperates with the label and works on few vinyl and digital releases.
