Caley Martin aka Caley, delivers a masterfully engineered extended set for the 23rd podcast of our humble imprint. For 3 solid hours Caley effortlessly demonstrates his unique knack for the art of mixing as he successfully maintains a singular mood, rides it to the very end, and keeps you in between both states of extreme euphoria and hypnotic meditation, all while transitioning seamlessly between House, Breaks, Minimal House, Tech House, and Techno.  

Caley runs the terrific platform Ultrawizardsword.net alongside his close friends known as the Council of Wizards. They broadcast live every Friday evening and have been doing so consistently for the span of 12 years, featuring hundreds of artists from across the country and all over the world. Their catalogue is extremely impressive, varied, and they've quickly become one of our favorite platforms because of their firm ethos which is predicated on selflessness, inclusion, and passion.

Fresh from the release of his "Diaframma" EP on none other than the legendary Perlon label, we're extremely happy to have Italian-born, now Berlin-based Caruan back on our podcast series. After having had him on the Live Moments in 2019, the eclectic artist and Deset Records boss returns with an equally eclectic selection on this 1.5 hours mix, ranging from breaky electronic numbers to faster, sizzling rhythms and groovy house ballads. This mix is the 2nd part of Gaetano's set at the last Get Perlonized party which took place on the 4th of November at Hoppetosse in Berlin. As always happens, he decided to go vinyl only for this one, showcasing an excellent taste and also great mixing skills that led him to play numerous times in Venice's finest After Caposile, Dimensions Festival, Tenax, UNUM, and CDV just to name a few. This week we have an exclusive session with the Argentinian producer Sebastian Olano (@sebastianolano),   Seba has been in love with music and musical instruments since a very young age.    His tracks are stamped by a fusion of techno and house grooves giving him his own style and characteristic sound, he edited his first tracks back on 2013 for Someone Else and Butane’s Little Helpers, a wise move that led him to capture the attention of artists such as Troy Pierce, Miro Pajic, Marco Carola who have already been playing his productions, currently Sebastian has released over 43 tracks in label’s such as Mike Kobzar's Minim.all, Hermine Records, Doma Musique, Malicious Smiles, Krad Records, Natural Beat Recordings, etc.    This impressive session from the Argentinean artists is not different from what we have mentioned, fit this four words in your mind Groovy-Deep-Hypnotic-Mental.

On this episode we feature an outstanding back to back by two of the most prolific electronic music producers in Chile: Alejandro Vivanco & Felipe Venegas, the episode is a cut from a live performance at Complot Nights in the beautiful city of Valparaiso, Chile.

Alejandro Vivanco (@telepong) >>  was born in Viña del Mar, and since his early childhood, he developed an interest in music, as his father used to play tenor sax and owned a huge jazz records collection. At the early age of 7 years, he used to spend many hours in front of the stereo. Later, when he became a teenager, he started playing electric guitar in several school bands, influenced by the music of bands like Sonic Youth, Jesus & Mary chain and Pixies, among others.    Meanwhile, around 1996 he started to have an affinity for sound experimentation, that affinity lead him to start developing a close relationship with machines, and conduced him to create his solo project called Telepong, a project that had a strong influence from the sounds of Detroit and Acid House. As he walked the path of electronic music, he got attracted to the emerging Chilean electronic scene and made him take a step ahead to turntables. That pavemented his career as a DJ and in 2001 earned him a residency in “Club La Feria” Chile’s battle horse Club, and where he still plays. In terms of his music style, he define’s it in simple words as "precise rythms with radical sound contrasts and evolving rich grooves.” 

Felipe Venegas (@felipevenegas) >>> studied classical and theory at the conservatory in Santiago (Chile) and we're awfully glad he did since his scholarly days he's ventured into more electronic realms, retaining a rhythmic, percussive feel that we just love. But as happen most of the time his true musical education took place outside the classroom, in clubs where the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano and Dandy Jack, were creating a new culture of sound.

Felipe spent his weeks studying Beethoven, Bach and Ravel, but at the weekends he escaped to the underground electronic music scene, soaking up the spirit of techno, house and acid. Before that, he learned the essential relationship between music and movement from his dancer father, who taught him the timeless rhythms of salsa and rumba.      In a very short time, Felipe cemented a reputation as one of Chile’s finest DJs and producers, he is also the guy behind @drumma-records .
