One last mix for 2020 and I'm looking forward to 2021.  This year has come with many highs and many lows.  It has been one of the toughest years of my life, as I'm sure that it's been very challenging for many of you as well. 

However, I do feel that there is light at the end of the tunnel. I'm definitely seeing things a bit more optimistically and am looking to put this year behind me, count my blessings, and keep moving forward.

Here's a special mix that's a shy under 60 minutes that I think you will all enjoy.

James Morreel a.k.a D jMorreel is someone who's charismatic & very passionate about electronic music. He is *versatile when it comes to creating unique *Set's & unforgettable track selections, with a wide range of genres. He began his musical journey, stepping in the realm towards Techno, Tech House, Deep House & Progressive House! Since then he has *Zoned in on his craft & dedication to the *Beats. He realizes it's a gift & doesn't want to waste it. He has full understanding that it's all about the music & the people that enjoy & move to it! Thats why he does it in the first place. In 2018, he started to *Transition into production. To him this is where the rubber meets the road. His desire to *Push the sound further has become more than a dream, it's a *Vision. For our 66th episode of So It Goes Radio, we're excited to present to you Melbourne-based producer and DJ, Eric Lune, as our final guest for 2020. We fell in love with Eric Lune's music back in 2018 when his track 'Benji' was first released and there has been no slowing down for Eric as he's now released music on labels like Sound Avenue, Plattenbank, Proton Music Balkan Connection, and more.

His music has seen support from all the heavyweights in the prog industry like Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, and Eelke Kleijn.  There’s no doubt Eric has cemented his place in a new emerging era of progressive house producers & DJs.

Karl Pilbrow's passion and appreciation for music has been a lifelong affair. Originally coming from New Zealand, he moved to Melbourne in early 2012.

In the years following Karl began to experience the outdoor festival culture the city is renowned for, he could not help but fall in love with electronic music. This new-found affection took him to all parts of the globe, intent on learning more about the outdoor music culture, the communities involved, and most importantly… the music.

Fast forward to today and you’ll find one of the best exponents for Progressive House in Melbourne. Atmospheric, melodic, uplifting and groovy, Karl has dedicated himself to refining a sound that is true to himself and the music that inspires him.

In a career that only began three years ago Karl’s meteoric rise already seen many highlights. These include playing sunset on Sunset at Rainbow Serpent 2019, playing after Nick Warren (UK), warming up for Roger Martinez (NED), numerous sets at Burning Man 2017 and 2019 , performances at Babylon Festival and a residency with Melbourne outfit Coco Poco Loco.

Karl is also an integral part of community events company Wildwood, not only as a resident DJ but as an event manager and curator for @wildwoodpodcastseries. . This has produced the perfect creative outlet for both his music and his love for festival culture.

Unter "Ähnlichem", wie die Definition der "tea time" besagt, verstehen wir die Musik, unter Teepause einen Moment der Entspannung und des sich gehen lassens.

Headliner Series 03 : Allies For Everyone

MicroV3rsum, alias Benno Langer wurde 1979 in Annaberg-Buchholz in Deutschland geboren und dürfte als das Ü-Ei der Szene gelten. Wahrscheinlich schon inspiriert vom Herzschlag seiner Mutter, machte er bereits als Fötus erste Beat-Erfahrungen. Als kleiner Junge ständig auf Gegenständen herumtrommelnd, brachte er sich nach und nach, "learning by doing", das Schlagzeug und Bassgitarre spielen bei. Mit der Zeit wuchs auch das Interesse zur elektronischen Musik immer mehr, beeinflusst von Künstlern wie Massive Attack, Depeche Mode, Westbam oder The Prodigy. Zufällig und über Nacht begegnete er Fruity Loops und eine neue Liebe war geboren. Der schwerste Ausbruch wurde letztlich durch Microtrauma verursacht, welche wohl auch bei der Namensgebung ihren Anteil tragen. Trotz der Liebe zum melodischen Techno, läßt sich MicroV3rsum in keine Schublade stecken. Genre-ungebunden und unkonventionell experimentiert er viel und gerne herum. Sein großes Vorbild ist Hans Zimmer. Mit seinem Engagement bei GlobalBeats FM vertiefte es sich im April 2013 weiter und das erste Set entstand, ganz ohne Syncs oder andere beliebte DJ-Tools. Er dachte sich, wenn schon ein Set machen, dann auch gleich in einer eigenen Sendung. Inzwischen bei Freund und Labelchef RiSo und seinem Label "RiSo Delic" eingestiegen, riefen beide im Sommer 2013 die Labelshow "Expect No Borders" auf GlobalBeats FM ins Leben. Mit einem gewissen Mut zum Risiko wurde gleich in der ersten Ausgabe auch das allererste DJ-Set von MicroV3rsum ausgestrahlt, welches durchweg positive Bewertung fand. Diverse Set-Anfragen wie z.B. von Aerogroove aus Tel Aviv bestätigen dies und man wird gespannt sein dürfen, wie die Geschichte weiter gehen wird...

MicroV3rsum, aka Benno Langer was born in 1979 in Annaberg-Buchholz in Germany. As a small boy, he was constantly drumming on objects. He eventually brought a bass guitar and a drum kit – teaching himself to play. As he got older he became interested in electronic music like Massive Attack, Depeche Mode, Westbam and The Prodigy. By chance he was introduced to Fruity Loops and a new love was born.
Despite his love of Melodic Techno, MicroV3rsum cannot be pigeonholed. With an unconventional style, he has experimented with lots of genres. His idol is the film composer Hans Zimmer. He played his first set for Global Beats FM in April 2013 without any sync or other DJ tools. And then later that summer, with his friend and ‘RiSo Delic’ label boss RiSo, he put together the show "Expect No Borders" again on Global Beats FM. The very first DJ set they broadcast was by MicroV3rsum gained lots of attention and praise from people such as Aerogroove from Tel Aviv. The story continues…
