Strange voices, frog-sounding vibrations, and jungle-inspired instrumentals chime in to make this fly music, all working together to make this a brave and hit-worthy track.

Refuge Digital strikes back with another Techno banger. It's our pleasure to introduce the debut of Ruben Swart. By picking up this talent at the Dancefair 2014 in The Netherlands we are happy to have his Techyno bombs on Refuge Digital.  The Original has a overwelming bassline and the use of a lovely deep synth that breakes out in the middle of the track. A wonderfull piece of work. Microvibez delivers his recognizable dirty sound on top of that and made a slamming remix with some spacey and fat elements added. The second track "The Bomb Squad"has a nasty kickdrum and offbeat clap and nice "Bombsquat vocal"... Massive track to complete this ep... Enjoy!

Do you believe in conincidences?

I don’t - anymore. I used to believe in conincidences but I’ve learned that everything happens for a reason. And that everything in life happens for you, not to you.

So, I have been busying myself with the idea of an remix album of classic tracks of mine for quite some time. But I struggled with the selection of tracks and which remix artist to pair with which track.  Until certain people entered my life. Some of them I only „met“ through their music on social media and never in person, others I met briefly, like in a car to a festival and some I started to hang out with and they became real life friends. All of these people connect with my music and I feel drawn to their music and in many ways we insprire each other.  As a natural result this remix EP took shape and I am excited to present it to you. The record contains four remixes of tracks from my back catalogue that cover a period of 20 (!) years, from my early days on Bush in the mid 90s to my first label Spiel-Zeug Schallplatten in the 00`s up until now, where I run Electric Ballroom from Berlin. 'New Life' is a phat slab of peak time crowd slaying goodness. Big beats, huge chords, great tension and all wrapped up in a big hug of warmth. To say this will be a big summer tune is an understatement. Get on it!

First of the remixes sees American DJ, producer and label owner Darin Epsilon  take control. His hallmark melodies accentuate the vibe, while bringing an air of restraint to proceedings. Dreamy edges and and infectious arpeggiator work superbly, and match the original chord sequence beautifully. 

Back to Holland we venture for the second remix and Kamara do their thing. Returning to the techno arena, this skippy rework drives along before the huge sidechained synth work causes devastation.

Live at Awakenings Festival 2019 (Area V)

For the first single from a 6-track EP from Montreal's Clarian (who is also one half of Footprintz), the Canadian reached well beyond the border to collaborate with Tel Aviv-born, Madrid-based producer Guy Gerber on "Claire." Gerber has been a major player on Israel's electronic scene since 2006, running his own Supplemental Facts label and infusing traces of minimal techno, tech house, downtempo and deep house in his productions, while remaining singular in his approach. Clarian's vocal contributions were at the heart of Gerber's progressive house-leaning Fabric mix from last year, which joined the likes of Ricardo Villalobos and Omar-S of artists that turned in single-artist mixes to the series. "Claire" starts amid a queasy vocal snippet (with Clarian's French whisper lodged in at the midpoint) and threatens to go darker and deeper. But a steady handclap and glimmering melodic line uplifts and casts light across this seven-minute track.
