
A Hip Hop Prophet is emerging!
Welcome to the mind of DIMES...a lyrical 80's baby with a 90's flow that weaves the consciousness of the 70's and the urgency of the 60's into provocative new millenium rhymes designed to detox the mind and give hope to the masses.

Inspired by rap legends Tupac Shakur and NAS, Dimes is an urban echo from a struggling generation of hip hop fans no longer interested in Maybachs or mansions.

"I'm bringing Black back to Rap," says Dimes. "Music is the heartbeat of the world. But Hip Hop is soul to the Black community...and when we start turning our souls towards riches, fame and all these other things that fade away, the soul turns from black to gray. We don't know who WE are anymore."

"The Triology of Dimes," a Summer 2012 three cd compilation, debuts the lyrical ability of the 24-year-old New Orleans native. DIMES honed his skills as a street rapper in the city's 7th Ward before becoming a studio MC in Texas.
He is currently in the studio with Dallas' legendary MC, Big Aziz, putting the finishing touches on the project that addresses the social ills eroding our communities.
