Stoked to share a new tune with you!  After months of writers block and not coming up with anything I was really proud of, this tune came together over basically a week and might be my fav thing I have made so far. Hope you dig this little funky/jackin/"deep" house groover, let me know if you catch where the sample is from 🤔

We've always been impressed by RIFFA, whether it be his legendary stand out tracks, his label (OKNF Records) or his ridiculously good looks, but god DAMN did he out do himself with his debut EP and absolutely blew our minds. His 'The Sound Of Fire' EP has got to be one of the most well rounded EP's we've ever heard. The originals are outstanding, perfectly curated tech house bombs that really raise the bar to the vibe we seek to create for this label. 

We're all about those cutting edge bangers on that strictly need to know basis, and we're elated to be able to represent RIFFA in his highest form; and damn did homie delivered the goods. Not to mention the remixes; wow.. You can't fix perfection but you sure as hell can compliment it and this is exactly what happens when we summon 3 of our favorite heavy hitters to step up and deliver 3 PERFECT, eclectic remixes. The boys really hit it out of the park on this one and it's always a pleasure to welcome friends old and new back to the label.

Riff has always inspired us with his balls to the wall productions, and feel like he really stepped it up to his highest potential for his FIRST EP. We're insanely honored too be able to provide for this milestone and have nothing but love and support for this outstanding young legend. Expect some big things coming from this lad this coming year, RIFFA is an absolute legend, great friend and an even better producer; and we're excited to see how all this plays into his career. The numbers 808 get thrown around quite a lot. So much in fact that you will often hear pop records talking about them when they may not even be present. Who am I though to be sour about the celebration of the worlds best drum kit.. Yes I said DRUM KIT. Fight me.

Although these tracks don’t scream ‘808’, their release date 8/08 is something to remember. Its a celebration of electronic music and what a better way to celebrate that than a chunky world class compilation.

Worthy and Lisbon Sisters, Astronomar and Return of The Jaded lead the pack with their heavy hitting club weapons. Then we have label potato heads ‘The Potato Heads’ keeping it warm over two of our favourite artists Mancodex & FOOLiE.

What is the Perfect Driver Tour Bus? 

We would like to be the first independent dance music record label to take our show on the road. Literally. With help from supporters, label-head Matthew Anthony will be customizing a Sprinter Van to pick up artists in one city to play shows in the next while remote operating the label in an ongoing Perfect Driver tour. See link to crowd-funding campaign below.

Our goal is to give Perfect Driver artists and fans a one of a kind experience. A #VanLife styled road trip where the DJ plays shows in big cities, small towns and everywhere in between, all while producing music in a mobile recording studio. Picture the Perfect Driver high-top Sprinter Van at a local art show or skate park with artists performing from the back. Or our #DJsAndCooking web-series broadcasting live from festivals. Imagine pit stops in National Parks while documenting artist & industry conversations on YouTube or Patreon for subscribers. Our plan includes playing quarterly shows in major markets.

If you're a Perfect Driver artist, we want to bring you on the road. If you're a show promoter or venue, we want to talk about working together. If you're in the media, we want you to help us get the word out. If you're a dance music fan or in the industry, we're asking for donations and partnering with sponsors. As we strive to meet our goal by fall 2019, we'll be happy to hook you up with goodies in return.

-How long have you been creating music?
I have been making music for 7 years now if we start by counting the hot messes that were my first productions back in 2013 haha.

-What do you use to make your tracks?
Currently, I am using Ableton with a Roland TR-8S and Akai MPK 25 keyboard.

-How and when did you first discover Dirtybird?
Ooof man I had to go back in my own catalog to fact check myself lol. I discovered Dirtybird in 05 with that track that Justin and Claude did called Beware of The Bird and have been hooked ever since. Such a weird and dope track!

-Which Dirtybird artist would you want to collaborate with the most?
I would definitely have to say Claude then Kill Frenzy, Ardalan, Shiba San and Eats Everything

-If your entire life was a movie, what title would best describe you?
Definitely Superbad hahaha! Just some friends getting into shit and having a good time

-What’s the best concert you’ve ever been to?
It would probably have to be when I saw Lupe Fiasco back in 2016. I'm pretty sure I own every single one of his records.

-If you could time travel, where and when would you go?
I would probably go back to the late 70's or early 80's to the start of Chicago House. Just to be immersed in all the warehouse parties and the vibe that was surrounding that time.

-What species of bird best describes you and why?
Harpy Eagle. Simply because it's a beautiful bird from the country I was raised in, which is Panama.

-What does Dirtybird mean to you?
Everything. The sound they've created, the culture they have, the dope environment and events for fans that exist for them. Every artist on Dirtybird is so friendly and approachable so as a fan its been great to meet them over the years simply just to chat or to tell them how dope their latest release was.
