Raised in Swansboro NC, Chris Neace or "MidiPsych" is a multi-instrumentalist with a primary focus in music technology and production. Now based in Cullowhee, residing in the David Orr Belcher College of Fine and Performing Arts, Neace is a student at Western Carolina University studying Commercial Music and Audio Production. With early life influences of Lo-Fidelity, Metal, and Rock music, along with the exposure of the Crystal Coast Beach atmosphere, Neace is taking those sounds and branching into the realms of Indie Psychedelic, Hip-Hop, Ambient, and what he calls "Experimental Music." Neace is finding his sound through combing elements from multiple genres, life experiences, and familiar noise to create an abstract and unique soundscape.
