Phenomenal Handclap Band is back on Toy Tonics with remixes by Superpitcher & Ray Mang! The New York indie disco crew delivers their third song to the Berlin dancefloor label. Their last 2 Toy Tonics singles, "Judge Not" and "Jail", have already made big waves with heavy rotations in the sets of people like DJ Harvey, Artwork, Gilles Peterson, Keinemusik and many others. Now they are back with another surefire smash: "Remain Silent".
The Phenomenal Handclap Band from New York has been known for a couple of funk-driven releases before, but also for supporting or collaborating with such giants as Bryan Ferry, Marcos Valle and Nile Rodgers & Chic. 
The band, based around multi instrumentalist and producer Daniel Collás, is releasing their new single in advance of a new album on Toy Tonics in 2020. This is just a warm up!

For our last release of the year we now give a warm welcome to our briliant Argentinian based producer: Alexny a.k.a. Ivan Alexis Podwiazny. With previous releases on Tropical Disco Records, About Disco, Moiss Music and Sundries Digital, Alexny delivers a 4 tracker masterpiece EP as a flashback to his last trip to Curitiba / Brasil. To start this magical journey 'Que Beleza' arrives as a Brazilian-Boogie anthem filled with cheerful trumpets, sexy Portuguese vocals and a touch of house drums making it a perfect opener for every occasion. Right next to it comes 'Do Sol' a sunny tropical downtempo cut with a sweet female vocal, harmonious paths and lots of percussions. On the other side 'Deixa A Trisiteza' appears in the form of a samba-funky pearl driven by seductive vocals, exotic saxophone solos and cuicas for the rhythm section taking us to the beautiful beaches of Copacabana or Ipanema. At last but not least 'First Pay' brings a chilled vibe to the release by slowing things down with a lounge bassline, steady piano chords and funky phrases sampling the classic intro from the Godfather Of Soul... Happy New Year !!
