Exoplanets is a space rock jam band playing original music inspired by classic rock and blues music.

The group started in 2015 and has expanded their sound to include extended compositions that investigate the relationship between human emotion and the universe. Their 2017 EP titled “Escape” is both introspective and rocking, and can be found on all major streaming platforms.

Exoplanets is focused on developing tight sets and connecting with local audiences, aspiring to reach beyond DC to other cities and music festivals.

David Scott Weaver is an award-winning songwriter who has earned recognition in the Mid-Atlantic Songwriting Contest and the Blues and Roots Radio International Song Contest. A Maryland native, Weaver crafts tunes in a range of genres from Americana to folk, bluegrass, gospel and rock. Over the years, he has collaborated with Mary Chapin Carpenter’s longtime producer, John Jennings, GRAMMY-award winners Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer and Rickie Simpkins. He has also co-written songs with the legendary bluegrass tunesmith Louisa Branscomb.
