S T O R C H (@storch | Dresden | GER) was born and raised in Dresden and started his music nerd career early on when he got in contact with the electronic club music in 1995 and started to buy vinyl. Around a decade later Sebastian started serving his time behind the decks in smaller Neustadt locations like 82, Alte Bäckerei, Altes Wettbüro and Koralle and later filled bigger clubs like Showboxx, Klub Neu, objekt klein a and ://about blank (Berlin). Since 2018 he is resident DJ at Schreber 31 hosting regular daytime dance events at Citybeach.

Over the years, naturally, he has been combining styles like Dark Disco with Electro, EBM and wave as well as 80s. For us he has recorded a dark mix of spheric beats and breaks and driving basses - a widely spread stretch from the usual Disco bangalore. 
We present an intelligently mixed nocturnal ride through the night. Let’s face it, the current circumstances have us all craving for some well spent dark time on the dance floor … lights out for STORCH.

So heute hab ich bisschen Italo-Disco für euch in meiner kleinen aber feinen Corona-Lockdown Reihe … ja mir geht’s langsam auch ganz schön auf den Nerv … Tanzen wäre schon mal wieder echt toll.

Mit Maltitz hab ich einen Künstler mit dabei dem ich schon sehr lange folge und dessen Musik immer im Wandel ist … ganz nach dem Motto … Stillstand ist Langeweile. Aber Chris ist nicht nur DJ … sondern auch Producer … lohnt sich bei ihm reinzuhören … er hat einfach ein tolles Händchen für die Musik. Danke Chris für das fantastische Set …

🗯🗯 Where did you record the mix and how did you feel? 🗯🗯

Recording this mix was quite special for me. Normally I did my recordings at the club where I used to work as a Nightmanager. As its closed due to Corona I had to think of another plan. So I locked myself in with a bunch of my favorite records on a friday night and did a vinyl only podcast (as I don’t have digital stuff at home). At the beginning it was not easy to get into the vibe as I am really missing the dancefloors but after some time it all flowed naturally.

🗯🗯 What are your wishes for the time after Corona? 🗯🗯

I hope the scene will be refreshed. The more I had time to think about everything the more I see the point that the scene was a bubble just about to burst anyway. It has lost its roots and what it is all about. Now I had the time to rethink where I musically came from and where or what I want to be in the future.

The most important thing for me is that no more clubs will have to close. Fingers crossed. I am really missing these special places.
