🗯🗯 Where did you record the mix and how did you feel? 🗯🗯

Recording this mix was quite special for me. Normally I did my recordings at the club where I used to work as a Nightmanager. As its closed due to Corona I had to think of another plan. So I locked myself in with a bunch of my favorite records on a friday night and did a vinyl only podcast (as I don’t have digital stuff at home). At the beginning it was not easy to get into the vibe as I am really missing the dancefloors but after some time it all flowed naturally.

🗯🗯 What are your wishes for the time after Corona? 🗯🗯

I hope the scene will be refreshed. The more I had time to think about everything the more I see the point that the scene was a bubble just about to burst anyway. It has lost its roots and what it is all about. Now I had the time to rethink where I musically came from and where or what I want to be in the future.

The most important thing for me is that no more clubs will have to close. Fingers crossed. I am really missing these special places.

So und hier kommt nun die vorletzte Folge in diesem Jahr von „We Are At Home“ in der Hoffnung das es im 2021 nicht mehr so lange geht mit dem Lockdowns und sowieso.

Heute freu ich mich ganz besonders hier ein Set von Elli Altenberger präsentieren zu dürfen. Für mich in 2020 die NewcomerInn überhaupt. Das erste mal so richtige wahrgenommen hab ich die Künstlerin aus Österreich mit ihrem Podcast für United We Stream. Ihr ganz besonderes Händchen für die House-Musik hat mich sofort ganz ganz schwer begeistert. Um so mehr freu ich mich das sie sich auch sofort bereit erklärt hatte für meine kleine Reihe hier einen Beitrag beizusteuern. Und wieder groovt und knarzt es wunderbar aus meine Lautsprechern … Elli ich freu mich schon wenn ich deinem Sound mal auf dem Dancefloor rocken darf … tausend Dank für deine Leidenschaft für die Musik.

I think for me Groningen was the beginning of my passion for electronic music in any category. Seeing DJs having the time of their lifes, whilst giving club dancers that exact feeling was just what I needed to start DJing on my own. Clubs like Paradigm and Subsonic were the closest I’ve gotten to the electronic subculture at that point, after school, coming off the little protected island I came from.

Midnight Operations #005 - Jakob Mäder

Whether it's their long-lasting and deep friendship or their performance as artists- it has been a long journey together for this amazing DJ duo. Starting their artist career together in 2017, it didn't take long for them to settle in the electronic music scene. Inspired by their surrounding of several local artists as well as the parties of the Mannheimer music scene, which range from breakbeat parties over house and minimal to psychedelic- oriental raves, they developed their own and unique music style. Besides spinning the records on a digital format, they also are experts at Vinyl. 
With the support of their residency, the Peer23 in Mannheim, they hosted several events in Mannheim and beyond . Gaining a lot of expertise in the areas of event hosting and as DJs, their music style evolved even further, connecting them with new artists and upcoming releases this year.
