They came together by chance. They stayed together for a shot. 

When Adrian Sutherland from the isolated Cree community of Attawapiskat was offered opening spot for Trooper in Timmins in 2011, he reeled in three other musicians from the James Bay to form Midnight Shine. His intention was to make the most of a one-off performance. Ten years, four albums, eight Indigenous Music Countdown “Top 10” radio singles, and 300+ media stories later… you could say he has.

Turning heads with a sound seamlessly mixing roots, classic and modern rock with touches of Mushkegowuk Cree, Adrian Sutherland & Midnight Shine have been lighting up the music world all the way from Canada’s Far North. Crafting a musical soundscape that gives a glimpse into their remote Canadiana landscape, they continue to push musical boundaries and boldly take new strides, while staying true to who they are and where they come from. A must-see band you’ll take a real shine to.

The art of music is undoubtedly one of the most profound and powerful mediums of expression. Its melodies evoke many emotions, while the lyrics tell stories that transport us to another realm. It is a world where anything is possible, love is rekindled, thrilling adventures are embarked upon, and new places are discovered.

Let me introduce Ezekiel Mianscum, a gifted Cree musician born February 18, 2006, in Chibougoumau, Quebec. Music has been an integral part of his life since birth, with his father and extended family members involved in a band.

Ezekiel's talent for voice impressions of cartoon characters was first discovered in 2016, and he later developed his singing skills. In 2018, he penned his first song and performed it at a basketball court in Mistissini. The following year, he released his first single, "Most Wanted," which he later re-recorded. He then went on to release another single the next month.

In 2020, Ezekiel began producing his debut album, and he has since released several singles ahead of its scheduled release in 2023. It is remarkable to see such a young talent making waves and carving a niche in the music industry, but his work has yet to find success.

Singer, songwriter, speaker, TV/radio broadcaster David A. Moses is host of Compelling Conversations on CKRZ 100.3FM and recently the host of ELMNT FM's (106.5FM Toronto and 95.7FM Ottawa) daily talk show “Moment of Truth”. 
New release coming soon, "The Monkey Dog" remixed, rerecorded and remastered from an earlier demo of the same name, featuring Arnie General.
