Welcome back to The Poeticast, we take an excursion outside of our customary landscape as Hungarian Electronic artist Iketa delivers an outstanding Guest Mix for Episode 157.

Iketa aka Peter Sarosdi is a Hungarian musician/producer. Starting at the early age of 7, learning classical piano for about 7 years. After a break he decided to produce his own music, mainly electronic with pre-fabricated loops and samples. In 2008 he started the music project called Iketa, whose music is based on simpler minimalist piano playing as a central theme surrounded by various experimental and ambient sounds and beats. Since then he has released several EPs and albums on smaller indie labels and by himself on Bandcamp.

The Poeticast is delighted to welcome Ryogo Yamamori to the podcast, the Tokyo based electronic artist supplies the mix for episode 166 in the series.

Tokyo based Ryogo Yamamori has become one of the defining acts in the Japanese techno scene. His skill as a DJ derives from the early 90's Detroit & Chicago techno scene as growing up and taking influences from. For the last two decades of his production career, he was acclaimed not only by his DJ skill but also as a producer and curator of his own label, 951beat. He has established a platform of his sounds on 951beat and it has grown to feature some of his closest affiliates including Kan Shinomura, ID-22, Katrina, QriTomato, Drumcell,Hisaharu Sato.

Ryogo Yamamori has been involved in techno since the late 90's and became resident at Air, Module and Yellow. He has released tracks from respected labels, notably Josh Wink's label Ovum, "Trinity e.p ”, got charted in 58th on Beatport's Techno which made worldwide selling. After having collaborated in Detroit Movement's official compilation, he has received offers from Flash Recordings. 

With over 20 years of experience, Ryogo Yamamori has played in NZ, Canada, US, Asia's clubs and festivals, including places like Octagon, ageHa, Womb. Ryogo's DJ style is known to be technical by mixing 3 decks and gets acclaim by world class artists.

The snowfalls of recent days has melted under the new moon and we are finally ready to turn another page in The Memoir.

This time we're greeted by the blissful beats of @tokifuko who's sounds and work with his outboard gear has been inspiring us lately. His music can be described as "mechanical signals structured into a hypnotic substance".

"I always liked tactile music writing and I've always wanted to control the electric wave by using drum machines locking them into a chain. It was hard for me to get results with the use of virtual instruments which led to the purchase of my first synthesizer. As a result, it has become an experiment in search for new forms and a race for the best sound in order to achieve better results."

Recently this talented producer released a wonderful EP on @silent-season which is well worth checking out.

Lentamente la mattina scivolava impercettibile nelle prime ore del pomeriggio quando il cielo tronfio di sfumature grigie e bluastre minacciava tempesta, arrocato sulle creste di alberi più scuri del solito, al Komorebi Music Festival. Eppure l'aria iniziava a trasudare un'energia diversa: suoni plumbei ed elettronici, vibrazioni mistiche, un ipnotico live set quello con cui i Primal Code ci permisero di salpare verso lande straniere, diverse, trasformando il tempo e lo spazio col potere del loro suono e proiettandoci verso un'ora di viaggio...molto più che un viaggio.
Oggi, come allora, buon ascolto.

The bleary morning was drifting slowly into the afternoon. The sky, loaded with grey and blueish colours, laid in wait above the darker than usual tree tops, threatening to unleash a storm on the Komorebi Music Festival.
Nonetheless the air was starting to perspire a different energy: gloomy and electronic sounds, mystic vibes. A hypnotic live set by Primal Code let us to set sail towards foreign and diverse lands. Thanks to the power of their sound time and space were transformed. We were launched on a one-hour journey…more than a journey.
Today, as at Komorebi, enjoy the music.
