Fletcher Kerr returns to Toolroom in collaboration with Trax comrade 2CD and their latest club heater ‘Don’t Stop’. Scottish DJ/Producer Fletcher Kerr is an artist on the ascent as he’s risen through the ranks as one of the standout graduates of the renowned Toolroom Academy who has been marked as a tip for the top this 2023.

Sitting alongside Fletcher with ‘Don’t Stop’ is newcomer and production extraordinaire 2CD who made their debut with ‘Chatterbox’ on the imprint earlier this year, which received global support from Miane, Mark Knight, Ferreck Dawn and Leftwing : Kody.

Bridging the gap between Techno and Tech House ‘Don’t Stop’ is set to light the dancefloor ablaze.

Dennis Quin makes his Solid Grooves Raw debut with the release of his new single, 'Lucky Bastard'.

Continuing his rise as an exciting artist within the Netherlands' rich and fruitful house landscape, Amsterdam's Dennis Quin is blossoming as a name to know, with his take on the genre landing across a wealth of labels, from Dungeon Meat to Madhouse. After recently launching his label DQ Music with the release of a special record, 'The Gryphon', the Dutch talent makes his first outing on Solid Grooves Raw as he drops his shuffling production, 'Lucky Bastard'.

Fusing tight kicks and skippy drums loaded with swing beneath a warping lead melody and subtle vocal murmurs, the bubbling track quickly builds into a cut loaded with energy and groove, making it a perfect match for the
imprint.

Netherlands-based Gino Da Koda debuts on Tomi & Kesh's NoZzo Music with his 'Selecta' EP.
 
Following releases on Used Goods, Unnamed & Unknown and several others, emerging Dutch talent Gino Da Koda steps up for his debut on Tomi & Kesh's increasingly popular NoZzo Music imprint. Joining him with an impressive remix of the title cut, DJ Entwan also returns to the label following a previous outing on 'The NoZzo's Vol. 4'.
 
Kicking things off, 'Selecta' hops straight into a flurry of Gino's signature percussive-led grooves and significant vocal presence. Riding an ebb and flow of thickened drums, pulsating sub-bass, playful breaks, quirky fills, massive vocal injections and subtle tonal layers, it's an undeniable hot pick for building a vibe on the dancefloor.
 
DJ Entwan's remix of 'Selecta' comes next, stripping things back a little with further emphasis on perpetual groove. A swaying concoction of punchy rhythms and rippling percussive flair lead the track forwards alongside an undulating sub-bass melody and an endless sea of creative twists and turns.
 
'Don't Believe' rounds off the release in impressive fashion with upbeat momentum and bags of danceability. Another mighty display of intricately placed layers of rhythm that build an enjoyably crammed spectrum of movement, joined by a bubbling bassline, atmospheric breaks, cleverly placed vocal chops, and much more - this one is a real toe-tapper and then some.

Tomi&Kesh team up with Alessandro Diruggiero on Unnamed & Unknown with a remix from Proudly People on their ‘Go Deep’ EP.

The next release on Unnamed & Unknown features a wealth of well-respected underground names as NoZzo Music frontmen Tomi&Kesh combine with Alessandro Diruggiero, further embraced by renowned Italian tastemakers Proudly People on remix duties for their ‘Go Deep’ EP.

The release gets moving with the title cut, ‘Go Deep’, bringing a hard-hitting combination of percussive-focused rolling grooves and a hearty sub-bass melody. The track’s soulful vocal runs add endless character to the mix, further bolstering what an impressive peak-time dancefloor weapon this is. 

Proudly People put their signature spin on ‘Go Deep’, delivering a grittier, more analogue-feeling rendition of the track. A perpetually rippling core of layered percussion and punchy drum work gives the mix a firm edge, beefed up further by modulating bass notes, gitty synth shots, and tonal fills. 

‘Blow Yo Mind’ rounds off the release, offering another weighty club heater with an instant appeal. Another onslaught of potent rhythms, hypnotic vocals and mammoth low-end drive pave the way for an ebb and flow of subtle melodic injections and playful fills between several hand-raising throwdowns.

Miguel Bastida’s (1984, Granada, Spain) career has been steadily going up since he started DJing with only 14 years old, in the local radio station of his hometown, Alhama de Granada.
Nowadays living in Barcelona, Miguel has become one of the most in-demand Spanish artists worldwide, due to his versatility, great musical selection and charisma dominating the dancefloor.

Miguel’s influences initially came from bands as The Prodigy or The Chemical Brothers, and also from harder styles, like hardtechno and breakbeats. Besides, he had one of South Spain’s electronic music strongholds close to home: Industrial Copera. There, DJs as Ben Sims or Cristian Varela left a huge impression on Bastida, who also looked up to artists such as Nathan Fake, James Holden or Alex Under, during the golden years of minimal techno.

Miguel already dominated the mixing craft when he turned 16. After his first nights out, the idea of music production started to come to his mind. Picturing sounds with each song he listened to, Bastida started gathering with friends with the same ideas and taste for music, setting up his first live sets, which finally led to the foundation of his first group: the electronic music band Raíz Electrónica (Electronic Roots). After that, and thanks to his self-taught practice, he managed to dominate his first production software, Reason, changing to Logic afterwards. Today, being his weapon of choice when creating beats. His love for machines is also well known, especially for Moog’s creations and MIDI controllers.

With his family support as mainstay, helping at the family’s business in the morning and focusing on the studio sessions during the afternoon, Miguel was able to dedicate himself to his great passion: the creation of tunes. Music production has been, without a question, what has taken Miguel Bastida where he is today. After years and years of being locked up in the studio, he managed to create his own, exclusive and uncompromised sound, whose turning point came in 2015, with the release of ‘Moudness’, a track that managed to stay up in the Top charts of platforms such as Beatport. Before that, he already managed to knock on the doors of heavyweights as Umek and his 1605 platform. Then Sébastien Leger’s Mistakes Music came, followed by Mark Knight’s Toolroom; Deeperfect; Trapez, elrow Music; Marc Marzenit’s Paradigma Music; Dubfire’s Sci-Tec; and most recently, Suara, demonstrating all the styles he dominates. Today his productions can be found in the selections of artists such as Richie Hawtin, Paco Osuna, Luciano, John Acquaviva or Leger, Dubfire or Umek themselves.

As DJ, Miguel Bastida belongs to the exclusive group of Spanish DJs that has had the chance of touring around the world, presenting his repertoire in almost every country in the planet, from Australia and New Zealand to electronic music strongholds as New York and Chicago. His name can also be found on the line-ups of the world’s best clubs and festivals, managing to convince even the most demanding dancefloors of the scene.

Self-taught and entrepreneur, Bastida’s projects ended up naturally in the creation of his own label, Be One Records, that he manages along two of his childhood friends. Bastida is in charge of the A&R, while his buddies in Berlin and Granada manage design and social networks duties. Recently they created a sub-label, dedicated to support and give a chance to young and upcoming talents of the electronic music scene.

Be it as groove creator, selector or supporter of new talents with his label, Miguel Bastida is a safe bet for any record label, festival or venue that seeks to tear up their dancefloors.
