Aérea Negrot needs no introduction; she’s a Berlin institution. Whether starring in a film, appearing on stage belting out a live set or werqing the CDJs, she permeates pure artistic energy. Her visibility has influenced a new generation of trans artists who have flocked to the German Hauptstadt. She first met Buttons & WHOLE Festival organizer, Jacob Meehan, back in 2014 on his first trip from Chicago to Berlin (where he shared the futon alongside Shaun J. Wright). Who would’ve known back then that their bed & breakfast scenario would turn into the city’s hawtest B2B a decade later.

NVST at rural 2023

Dignos, a resident DJ of Manila's only queer techno party, Elephant. She swiftly earned the mantle of Manila's Techno Queen when she first emerged on the scene, but never one to conform, her sets transcend the label. Running the gamut from dark dance tracks to 90's rave sound, her music will refuse to release you from the dancefloor.

A proud member of the queer community who has trailblazed the underground community for years. Manila is lucky to have Dignos take the reins and push the envelope.

Some of the gigs she played in featured Fantastic Man, Mr. Ho, He Valencia, Ketia and Jonathan Kusuma. She has also played for Eastern Margins and opened for the renowned music label based in Berlin, Transatlantic.

New Yorker @acemo is an artist with an intense work rate. In the DJ booth he races through tunes, rhythms and styles with an insatiable sense of energy, and in the studio he is as prolific as they come. He has put out four EPs in the last year that take in jungle updates, battered techno and euphoric bass, and his self-released Existential album in late December came with a more thoughtful and philosophical dimension.

This week's mix is a bumping one that hits the ground running. Impassioned and uplifting house soon gets you locked before you rough ride through dusty breakbeats, twisted acid and percussive work outs.
