The love theme from the film "Lo". One of the most beautiful melodies I have written. Features Mark Robertson on violin and Scott Glasgow on piano.

Love Theme From  Lo

As a gift to BSO Spirit, the organizers behind the International Film Music Festival in Córdoba, Spain, I wrote this little orchestral fanfare to celebrate their 10th anniversary in 2014. Incorporating themes from RoboCop by Basil Poledouris was my way to emphasize the “roots” of the special festival spirit, to which Poledouris contributed a considerable amount of heart and bravery when participating in one of the festival’s first editions in the midst of battling cancer. Performed by the Orquesta de Córdoba conducted by Juan Manuel Parra.

In October 2015, Johannebergskyrkan in Göteborg, Sweden, celebrated its 75th anniversary highlighted by a number of concerts. For the final one, on October 18, the Church of Sweden and the Congregation of Johanneberg, commissioned a new piece by composer Mikael Carlsson. "Te Deum", written for choir and orchestra, sets the old christian hymn (also known as "A Song of the Church") to suggestive and dramatic music with the pitches of the church's three tower bells as it foundation. The piece also incorporates a theme by Hilding Hallnäs (Johannebergskyrkan's first organist and a fine and prolific composer in his own right) to acknowledge the great musical heritage of the church.

This piece was commissioned by Gothia Concentus, Sweden's largest amateur orchestra, as an original concert work addition to their 2017-2018 project focusing on music from science fiction films and video games.

This is my tribute to the genre that brought me so many wonderful musical highlights.
