REASON. (DEGEN Bootleg)

On a dry, autumn evening. A speck of light beams down from the heavens, weaving in and out of the only streaks of clouds left in the twilight sky. To an untrained eye it could just be seen as an all too common meteor shower. It's a shame no one saw it make a sharp turn in the other direction. 

As the object neared the ground, it almost gracefully settled at a low altitude, floating over the rolling hills of the majestic mountainous landscape like a lightly thrown frisbee. It made almost no noise except for a low vibrating tone. There was no mistaking it. As cliché as the Sci fi movie our parents grew up on. We are not alone. 

The lone Martian brought his flying saucer to a pause, hovering about 10 meters above a desolate yet peacful alpine pasture. After a moment of deliberation, The peaceful silence of the New Zealand countryside was interrupted by a flurry of oscillating mechanical noises, as the saucer's central translocator beam booted up to transport the little green man down to the surface.

Its mission: Analyse the planet surface. Relay all data back to the Mothership. Prepare for the invasion.

'Hooked On You' is a modern love letter to the 80's, taking inspiration from classic 80's sounds from the likes of John Carpenter, Jean-Michel Jarre, Vangelis, Giorgio Moroder and more this fever dream of Retro-Wave nostalgia was made using instruments and sounds made popular in the 80's such as the Roland TR-808, the Linn Drum Machine, MOOG Synthesizer, Prophet 5, and Virus TI.
Spun together in a modern house format, 'Hooked On You' will surely take the dance floor back to a time when your parents were just as loose as your are now ;)

"Runner" is but the intro track to my new journey as a producer, DJ, avid sound designer and music lover. Fueled by the soundscapes of decades passed, mixed with the cutting edge production of tomorrow, "Runner" is my way of setting the tone for the next chapter in my career!
