One year after the release of the first volume of Other Worlds, Alejandro brings us Vol. 2, digging deeper and further into the world of binaural 3D music. Other Worlds Vol. 2 provides the listener with four new immersive and hypnotic pieces of music exclusively designed for headphone listening. Each composition offers a seamless blend of electronic and acoustic instruments merging into a slow and organic pulse.

Carving into decades of experience in electronic music production and into his recent endeavours in sound installation art and advanced spatialisation technologies, Alejandro delivers a mesmerising and non-conventional record, yet surprisingly accessible. Music that can work as a functional and meditative background, while also offering enough complexity and detail to reward the most curious listeners.

HRDF: Who are you ?
JS: I am Juniore Super, co-founder of the SUPER Daronne collective based in Bordeaux. I have always been passionate about music and started making music at a young age, playing several instruments. When I discovered electronic music for the first time I saw the opportunity to mix all my past inspirations through mixing. Playing records allows me to put my idea of the most adequate music in a given context. It's this role as a transmitter of emotions or culture that I find captivating. Today I also have another role, that of holding an artistic direction and programming the electronic segment of the lBOAT in Bordeaux. It's something that suits me quite well I think because I am very curious and adventurous in this passion. Music is above all a sharing, introspections as much as meetings! I am very happy to be able to participate in the creative effort with this piece and to give an account of my musical interpretation beyond my turntables.

HRDF: How did you discover this track ?
JS: I've always had a bit of a nostalgic view of music, I'm quite a fan of the raw, analog production methods of the previous century. When looking for vinyl beyond the record shops, you'll end up browsing through a lot of old stuff in an attic, in your family's collection or on flea markets. This record was in a batch that I had recovered to clear a friend during the confinement. I always had this little challenge to try to find a nice surprise. To do that, you have to listen to everything without leaving out any details. And that's how, in the middle of this popular 45, I discovered this slightly hidden synth pop track.

HRDF: Why do you choose to edit it ?
JS: First of all I think this song appealed to me by its title and the lyrics of the original version. It was composed in 1985 and from a certain point of view it is very topical. During the confinement it was even disturbing! So I decided to make a more current and futuristic version, as if the original was stranded on a new land, the Terra Novae.

HRDF: What are your upcoming plans ?
JS: Today I really take to heart my new job as a programmer, it's a great experience that allows me to explore the current scene and learn every day. I also play almost every weekend and I continue to share the music I collect, it's really good to be able to dance again! I'm lucky enough to be able to do it alone or with my friends from SUPER Daronne depending on the dates so I enjoy it. For the moment the production is more like a few hours here and there because it all takes time, I will publish new stuff one day maybe or maybe not ! I don't put any pressure on myself at all, I think the most important thing is to do music with sense and passion.

Osey and Drake started djaying in the early 80s.

From Chicago and Detroit they have been a well kept secret in the house and techno music scenes.

Ghost writing such seminal tracks as on and on, Jack Your Body, Your love, Can You Feel It and Strings of Life the duo shared their knowledge of DJing by teaching the likes of Frankie Knuckles, Juan Atkins, Derrick May the joys and skills required for turntabalism.

The pop scene took notice, and realising it could learn from there razor sharp ears they were hired produce for such 80s bands as Eurythmics, Talking heads and Depeche Mode to name but a few.

Always using aliases and always shunning stardom. For the duo it was always about the music. In the words of Annie Lennox. "Handsome, witty, musical wizards. They can dance, drink anyone under the table. They seem to carry no baggage. Just so giving... and humble. I wish I was single..."

Arriving in the early 90s and using what they had learned in the pop scene they used their love of an uplifting hook and turned it to their techno roots. It was here they became reluctant fathers of the genre soon termed trance.

A genre that soon became a global phenomenon. However the boys caught up in there hedonism hadn't realised realised what they had created. Becoming disillusioned and soon embarrassed of this sound they retreated into the shadows and chose a quieter life on the shores of NZ.

Always watching and listening the boys bided there time to plan their return.

The legends have been standing on the shoulders of these giants for too long....

They have stepped out of the shadows and once again combined their powers to form:
