This album features vocalist Dorsey Tippett Ketcham singing favorite Christian songs for kids as composed and arranged by Lew Scharpf.  Dorsey is an outstanding vocalist and was one of the primary inspirations for composing and arranging these songs.  Sheet music for piano and vocals are available upon request. 

"An Ark & a Rainbow":  Christian Songs for Kids

I composed this song which is based on Genesis 9 scripture in which the rainbow symbolizes God's mercy and the covenant He made with Noah (representing mankind) not to destroy the world in such a way again. Credit to Dorsey Tippett, the vocalist on this track.

Books Of The Bible

My goal with this site is to present an eclectic approach to piano, instrumental, and vocal music with a focus on religious music and the American Songbook.  I have incorporated various musical styles and venues into my music including traditional, gospel, contemporary, classical, pop, and mainstream jazz.  It is my hope that listeners will be able to identify with one or more of the musical styles and enjoy my arrangements and compositions.  I am also a nature/wildlife photographer and hope that my music reaches a diverse audience just as biodiversity is a theme of nature and wildlife.
