Big Head Todd and The Monsters is a rock band formed by Todd Mohr, Brian Nevin, and Rob Squires in 1986 in Colorado. The band has released several albums since 1989, with their 1993 album Sister Sweetly going platinum in the United States. When I first heard this song on Kyle's (Ultrasonic Pest Repellant-- @ultrasonic_pest_repellent ) page, I immediately was drawn to it. I love the sitar, and he had just released a batch of unfinished sitar ideas. So, he let me play with this one. To his guitar, bass, sitar, and drums, I added an organ and a lap slide part. I really had a lot of fun with this one, as it was a real challenge to get right. If you're not familiar with Kyle's music, do yourself a favor and check it out! We hope you like our collaboration.

Kirby/Ward droning out at the  Mill Lane warehouse we inhabited for the first half or so of 2023 (thanks Marek!). A surprise (to us too) bit of prog evolves in the middle then yep back to drone. The acoustics of this joint were in a league of their own. This was recorded and filmed with the place empty just before it was sold. A cavern to say the least. This was brought to us by Mark, who had written it a while back, but wanted to dust it off and give the Eclectic Collective a shot at it. He recorded it with a keen eye toward collaboration with an electric piano synth with heavy stereo tremolo. We just recently found Mark, and he has proven to be a very creative, passionate, and easy to work with collaborator—all the good things. 
  Mark set it loose to me first, and I, of course, got Ken in on the act before anything else could transpire. After Ken added his wildly creative, very skillful drum beat, I was able to come up with a suitable bass line. I also came up with the lap slide part you hear with the heavy tremolo. Then we turned it over to Stephen, who added a very psychedelic, electrifying solo at the end. Also, JJ set upon it with a very hooky organ. 
  Last, but certainly not least, MD came up with the lyrics, which are a metaphor for trying to break into the business of music, and delivered them with his fiery vocals, too. Then, we all realized that the song wasn't long enough for our ambitions, so Ken came up with an idea for the arrangement, and lengthened the song to suit our needs. He also very ably mixed and produced this one for us. We had a lot of fun working on Mark's tune. We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed creating it.

Away with the Rapids (Eclectic Collective)

There are forests on Earth that endure extreme winters, places where temperatures can reach up to -40/-50C.
They are called Taiga 
Plants and animals go into hibernation hoping they have stored enought nutrients to survive another extreme seasson.
A once thriving forest full of beauty, sounds and colours turn in to a deadly , almost lifeless , colourless and soundless frozen desert.
Life`s clock seems to slow down to a halt while hours turn to days , days turn to weeks and weeks turn to months.
Until the first sun rays strong enough to stop the ice and snow`s  deadly grip ,appear..
Like an explosion...Life`s clock speeds up while the forest heart beats faster and faster, the forest is awaking along with its inhabitants..
Spring returns ...Life begins ....again...
