NewsRadio KFBK takes you on a yearlong journey to examine this experimental, “low barrier” shelter concept aimed at the most resistant of Sacramento’s homeless citizens.

The triage-type intake shelter will cost the city a million dollars for the 4 month winter season. It’s also the prototype for a newer, bigger, permanent, year-round Low-Barrier shelter on the edge of an historic neighborhood. We want to know if this approach is the answer for Sacramento.
