I often wonder what's going to happen with our planet/civilization/humanity.  Recent political developments around the world have me (and many many others) deeply concerned, so I'm investigating other potentially habitable regions in the universe.  Mother Earth is my home, and is very dear to me.  Wolf 1061 C could be habitable; it's only 14.1 light years away from Earth.  Hmmm.  How long would it take to get there?  Even if you could travel the speed of light.  I hope we can redeem ourselves and discover a sense of living in harmony and at peace with each other and our planet.

With life the universe knows itself
In subconscious poem
In each book on the shelf
In formulaic epiphany
The universe explains its' me

Cosmic me
Once just innate
Once unaware of its own state
Bring reasons layer
Great stars found meaning
Bring the calculas
Orbit answers streaming

Articulated and tooled with lingo
No providence did scare poor dingo
Then the universe flicked a switch
Come reference itch
Now known exist

So what of us before this layer
Our consciousness just felt fair
Most calculations innately known
Just luck survived destined problem

A final act of entropy
One last hurrah till thermo free
Enough for me

Scheau

An insignificant song that aims only to illustrate something anecdotal. It doesn't elevate anything it says to any particular level. It barely corresponds to a mood, that of an arrogant, slightly ironic, nostalgic, and bitterly tender loser.

A Country and Western version of a song i wrote a while ago. A funny sort of a song with a lovely story :-) Some people may be able to associate with the sentiment in this song .

Who I Am

A song just built on slaps and taps of stuff on the coffee table using only headphone mic. For the first time ever I started with a hummed phrase first here which was cool. I'm usually singing over an established instrument.

One model of mercy psychopathy free
Sympathetic innate served through you and me
Concerned by the rules we avoid the sting
Understanding those truths

Sight spectrum of bliss with proof we determine
We can manage it now

As altruistic social servers of sane
We share happiness
We share suffered pain
Reciprocity is presence of collective cured

Our morals. For pea head they are born from experience and shared understanding of pleasure and pain. Once we remove psychopathy from our frame of reference and accept that every human is potentially the same then moral reality looks like it can be reasoned, explained and evolved with society.

Creeds like to tell us science can't offer a foundation for our morality and that only the divine can deliver those. However all creeds disclude millions and billions of other people that don't adhere to that creeds belief system. Here a reality based on collective morality disappears so I'm not sure we can ever ground our morals in quasi metaphysical beliefs. It has to be based on common sense minds have agreed born of what we know we like and what sucks and with a foundation that we are all equal and feel good and bad experiences similarly...

So I guess a future where the place we are born does not determine the level of our human imposed suffering is attainable but possibly only if we ground our morals in shared reality as opposed to shared imagination. Chance is chance, but natural disaters aside, that would be a pretty cool world to live in....
