Frank Hellmond has a wide background as a DJ, a passion that led him to play in clubs since the 90s, for example in Cologne (Bel Air, Königswasser, Luxor, Filmhaus ...) or Berlin (Badeschiff, Suicide Circus, Maria ... ). In 2001 he started making music with Krause. Since 2008 he also forces his solo career under his first name. He has released various albums on labels such as Eintakt Records, Paperjet Records, Mole Music, ETUI, Tiefenrausch, Hello Strange, Diametral and many more.
In recent years some mixtapes have been released, for example on Hello Strange, ETUI, MOSHItaka and Kaos Music. Together with Denny Suski and Martin Bausch, he has been creating the „dreiton“ label for several years with a musical focus on dubtechno, electronics and deephouse.

Q1. How and where was the mix recorded? Could you tell us about the idea behind the mix?
　
I recorded it at my studio in Montreal. I selected music that are for me sooting in these psychotic times we going through collectively. Im also going to Brazil soon, always loved music from Brazil very much. In that mix there’s some from the 70s and some new electronic music from Numa Gama, a producer from Rio de Janeiro who is very inspiring to me and that i will meet soon.

モントリオールの私のスタジオで録音しました。今、私たちが集団的に経験しているこの狂気じみた時代に、私にとって鎮静効果のある音楽を選びました。また、私は間もなくブラジルに行く予定で、常にブラジルの音楽が大好きです。そのミックスには70年代の音楽や、リオデジャネイロのプロデューサーであるNuma Gamaからの新しいエレクトロニックミュージックなどが含まれており、私にとって非常に刺激的な存在であり、もうすぐ会います。
