Many years – the collaborations -

At the end of the year we all have something to look back upon. I looked back at the many years behind me and made my personal musical reflection in this piece of music: a instrumental, latin pop kind of track with a special Spanish ‘fire’ in the middle.

This is a list of collaborations that came to stand with the original instrumental (down the list) with likely more to follow..

The original is open for collaboration and I still look forward to hear your beautiful vocals, trumpet, sax, percussion, lead guitar or whatever you think will fit best to the track. Make it a hip-hop rap, add your vocal angels, give it a different style or whatever you like :) and upload it to you profile. No need to ask me about it. I would very much like to hear your end version of course! :))

If you need a different mix for your production please let me know. I can send you a version without drums or with a lower guitar level. A non-mastered mix is available as well. BPM = 75.434(Spanish break is less tight).

October 2017 Discoveries.

Many people simply want to hear and enjoy some great new music without having to waste time searching for hours. These Musical Discoveries collections aim to fulfill those needs. At least, we hope so!

This playlist is a compilation of the favourite musical discoveries of the Wud Records team from everything they heard at SoundCloud during October 2017.

Tracks have been arranged according to the number of plays at the time of publishing, starting with the fewest. Tracks that are early in playlists tend to receive more plays than later tracks, and we feel that the ones with fewer plays need the best chance of exposure.

This playlist is extremely eclectic, so if the track you are playing isn't quite doing it for you, try the next one. It will probably be completely different.

If you enjoyed listening to something here, please give it a like and a repost. Follow the artist. Give them a shoutout on social media. Check out some of their other tracks. Buy from something from them and your support will help them to keep going. Doing any this will help raise their profile and you might make their day. :)

But, among all... how did he find me? Well, I had listened to one of his tracks and liked it...

Mark says: In the music Manuel kindly offered me, I could clearly hear historic military conflict and I felt it was important that the lyrical theme resonated with us both. I had often visited the Canary Island of La Gomera and couldn’t escape the history of the Guanches, nor ignore the powerful beauty of the mountain, La Fortaleza de Chipude. Manuel has been such an enthusiastic partner in this project with an imaginative and energetic approach that left me in awe.

Manuel says: Mark and I decided to sing together after I arranged his acapella voice within his open collab “The Parting Glass” last springtime. I was working with strong but abstract inspiration at that moment, and shared some ideas with him. Step by step, and with help from his epic lyrics, the track got shape with a non-stop brainstorming. Now, we’re proud to post this work together, no doubt the one on which I’ve worked (and enjoyed) the most by now. May you feel disoriented, most perhaps in 11/8 instrumental parts, just grab the bass line to a safer ride along ;)
